After years of being away, i was thinking of trying to come back into FFXI. Only problem is I have no idea what my past info was, no codes, nothing. I plan to try and call tomorrow to see if there is anyway to find and salvage my old character. If not, I face the option of coming back and starting over from scratch. WOW was ok... WAR is ok..., but none of the other MMO's I have played have held my attention like FFXI.

I had a lvl 60/mnk, 40/Nin with War and Thf subs when I used to play, with a group of friends helping me to acquire the needed items. My worry is without the friends I played with before, and the probability that there are not as many people on the low levels needing the basic missions to get things like airship passes and the like, that it will be alot worse than I remember.

On the plus side, I have been reading some about some of the changes SE has made towards EXP for EP mobs, and different items to help level up. On the down side is I see alot of posts saying that new players don't seem to get into it. I suupose my question is, are there enough new players that a comeback from nothing (if I have to do it that way) will be tolerable?

Level sync is pretty neat. If your buds arent playing anymore you could always go to a new server at keast. This time around with sync it should better. Besides the Valkrum dunes days are fun tongue.gif
