Update isn't until April 8th, so there's still time. But I'm betting that it's going to be Elemental Enfeebles II.

In this second half of the announcement on job adjustments and additions planned for the April version update, we present to you a delectable array of changes that are bound to change the way you buff and summon!
Unless three halves make a whole, I think this is it...
I'm praying like a bitch I'm wrong, though.

It was mentioned in the update topic that the other translations say "second part" rather than second half. SE fails so bad at translations, so there's still some hope for more job adjustments.

I don't think BLM is going to receive anything this update. We all know how misleading pictures are from SE. I remember at the end of last year there was an interview about the first 2009 update and they said that the update would be focused on WHM, RDM, and pet jobs. So far we've seen WHM, RDM, and SMN... So either pet jobs referred to just SMN or maybe we'll see another update preview for BST and PUP (possibly DRG too). People just assumed BLM was getting an update because of one picture lol.

Last time I checked I carry around 20-30 more pieces of gear on RDM than BLM. It's an upgrade for any job.

My BLM isn't 75 yet though so a lot of stuff I don't need to carry around with me. :3

Your Black Mage? I carry that much stuff on my Monk (deadly serious here) and I haven't even rounded out my partying sets. Dunno why people get the impression that mages are the only ones with inventory crunch. I just hope that I can macro from my Satchel or force Colibri Beaks to drop in, either way works.

Some of the best job updates have come the day of the update, even if it was the "second half", that just means its one of the ones they will post before the update.

Yep. I too hope I can use the Satchel that way. With the Satchel, I can carry all of my BLM's gear.
That isn't even all my gear either.
I usually carry:
Medicine/Food: Such as Echo Drops and Cream Puffs. I don't usually carry more than that, so that takes 2 slots.
Kirin's Pole, The essential staves for BLM (all of mine are HQ) - Ice, Wind (Gravity), Earth (idle), Thunder, and Dark. I could carry Vulcan's, Neptune's, and Apollo's, but those serve little purpose for my BLM outside of nuking something like Armed Gears or poisoning something I'm low-manning that cannot be slept. And BLM clearly needs cure potency... So, I don't really carry those three anymore. That's 6 slots.
Ammo: Phantom Tathlum, another one. Sometimes I'll bring a Spirit Lantern along if I feel like going for max damage possible in a given situation.
Head: I only bring what I need, and that depends if I'm also using Sorcerer's Ring. But the following headpieces are an example as to what I can carry: Demon Helm +1, Sorcerer's Petasos, Zenith Crown, Genie Tiara, Goliard Chapeau, and a Reraise Hairpin. Up to 6 slots. I have AF+1 hat too if I feel like not bringing DH+1 or Goliard around, but if I'm not using Sorcerer's Ring, I don't have Zenith Crown with me, so Goliard helps with capping stoneskin. After getting a Morrigan's Coronal (for full set onry), I'll have to figure out what to do here.
Neck: Usually, I bring Orochi Nodowa (idle), Uggalepih Pendant, Dark Torque, Enfeebling Torque, Enlightened Chain, and Beak Necklace +1. I have an Elemental Torque when needed, so that takes up to 7 slots total.
Earrings: Novio Earring, Moldavite Earring, Abyssal Earring, Phantom Earring +1, Antivenom Earring, Relaxing Earring, Sorcerer's Earring (idle), Loquacious Earring, and a Dark Earring (I could probably not bother carrying this, actually). This takes up a good 9 slots at max. The Abyssal/Phantom earrings are for when I need the INT - elemental debuffs, because I cannot hit 150 without those. I could once I get Morrigan's Slops, Sorcerer's Belt, and INT merits finished, so I could probably stop carrying those altogether by then. This is an area I look to minimize to just the MAB earrings, the sorcerer's earring, Loquacious earring, and the HMP earrings, which in that case, would need 6 slots instead of 9.
Body: This is something that I can never give up a slot on, hardly, least until I get Morrigan's Robe. Mahatma Houppelande, Genie Weskit, Wizard's Coat +1, Goliard Saio, and Ixion Cloak for idle (used to carry Sorcerer's Coat for this, but since I recently obtained the cloak for my upcoming Scholar, I figured I'd use it for regen+refresh instead). As is, this uses 5 slots. Once I obtain a Morrigan's Robe, my body pieces will be Mahatma Body, Morrigan's Robe, Wizard's Coat +1, and Goliard Saio (this is, however, really for dark magic until I obtain a Nashira Manteel, then I will no longer carry my Saio around). Sadly, I'll only be able to reduce this by one slot in the long run.
Hands: This is a relatively easy spot for me. Wizard's Gloves (+1) if needed, Sorcerer's Gloves, Zenith Mitts, Mahatma Cuffs (need the INT for elemental debuffs for now, once I can obtain 150+ INT with AF+1, I will no longer use these), and Genie Gages, using 4-5 slots depending on the situation. Ideally, I'm looking at Morrigan's Cuffs, Sorcerer's Gloves (+1), Wizard's Gloves +1, and Oracle's Gloves. I don't think I'll need Zenith Mitts for Sorcerer's Ring latent, but I'll find out one way or another.
Rings: Omega Ring, Snow Ring, Tamas Ring, Sorcerer's Ring, and Serket Ring (latent). This is relatively easy, and nothing I can do can improve this a bit outside of not using sorcerer's ring, in that case, it only uses 3 slots.
Back: Ixion Cape, Umbra Cape (idle), Invigorating Cape, and Merciful Cape currently. Not much I can do here. I'd like the Ix'DRK cape eventually, though.
Waist: This is a spot where I have to always pick. Penitent's Rope, Swift Belt (haste for dark magic), and Qiqirn Sash +1 are usually the only 3 pieces I carry unless I bring obis. I have all the relevant ones. Ok, lemme rephrase that, I have all 8. I do not bring all of them though, and definitely don't have the space. There's only one thing I'd like here, and that is the Sorcerer's Belt.
Legs: Currently, I carry Mahatma Slops, Sorcerer's Tonban, Goliard Trews, Wizard's Tonban, Baron's Slops, and Zenith Slacks (sorcerer's ring latent only). I am working on Yigit Seraweels now that I'm doing RvB more while maintaining salvage easy, replacing my Baron's Slops. And Morrigan's Slops will easily replace Mahatma Slops. Outside of not using Sorcerer's Ring, there's nothing I can do to make this less of a strain on inventory unless I don't want to carry the trews around for idle.
Feet: Rostrum Pumps, Goliard Clogs, Yigit Crackows, Nashira Crackows (haste only, even though the amount is low), and Zenith Pumps (sorcerer's ring latent only). I carry Rostrum for the Fast Cast at the start of my casts. Though I could honestly live without carrying them at all. Same really applies to Nashira feet - I never use it for elemental skill, there's no point really. Goliard work just as well for nuking end-game mobs that need the higher accuracy. Naturally, only thing I'd want here is Morrigan's Pigaches for the full set bonus/stoneskin. Gaiters... that's a dream for me.
...
Wow, this turned into a "what gear do I own" post. But yeah, helps explain why I'd love it if the Satchel allowed you to equip more items since you can access that anywhere, just like inventory. Either way, I'm always down for minimizing the inventory without hurting my performance.
