With the following updates been announced and Thief probably hasn't even been looked at yet we've still got time to think of things we would want to change/add to Thief. Like I wish Flee would last longer or the cool down time wasn't so high.. Post your ideas biatchs.

JA with 5min duration and 5min recast that grants a form of Haste, attack, and accuracy on attacks when behind the enemy!

i like the idea of a hasso/seigan type buff. it'd be similar to what they're adding in for whms, and what already exists for sch's as well.
without going over the top, maybe a small att/acc type buff in one stance if you will, and an eva buff in another for solo'ing etc. similar to berserk/defender for war but maybe not as powerful. also make it only available to people using 1 hand weapons, so that sam/thf or other /thf wouldn't be able to benefit from it. or just make it higher than level 37. 2handers already have enough buffs to them, i just don't want them to benefit from a buff to thf, because that would kinda nullify the point of buffing thf.
i don't think we need anything rediculous, but with all these other jobs getting updates soon, and all the past updates, all we have to thank se for is collaborator and accomplice... which is meh at best... so i would like to see something given to thfs just so se can kinda acknowledge our existance...
or maybe make hide work on all mob types so sata hide ws on wyrms would be possible for us hnm players.

Booriiing.. for example make it a crit rate+20%&damage +5% triple attack+5%/AGI bonus halved for TA, and parry activation rate +15%/evasion from AGI halved (2 AGI = 1 eva > 4 AGI = 1 eva)! Something speshul and innovative! (I'm not saying my ideas are tho...but atk/acc/haste & eva..geez)

i get what you're saying with something more reflective to thfs in particular. i just think the biggest thing we're lacking is att, especially in endgame. so thats why i tend to hope for something a bit more like hasso/seigan currently is for sams.
i would be happy with any buffs really, i don't think thf is in dire need of an update, but then again neither was rdm and its getting one

I actually doubt we will get anything in this update since they did some tweaking a few months back. Rdm got something for the first time in nearly 2 years iirc. I am wondering what ninja is going to get being they have been kicked in the teeth over the last year.

I'd quite like a pop-up box to be added when you select THF as your main job that asks a series of random questions to determine how much of an idiot you are. If you fail, you can't play THF. The questions can be related to the job, stuff about how useful HS is, why you shouldn't wear AF pants, how to SATA correctly, etc, etc.
As for stances, please shut the fuck up. It annoys the shit out of me that SE decides to add a new set of stances to a job and all of a sudden it's what everyone wants. I've waded through a miriad of idiotic posts from various jobs all crying about how they want Hasso and it's doing my nut in.
What changes do I want to see on THF? None. I honestly couldn't think of anything that would improve the job without "breaking the game" once you reach a certain point. Not from a damage perspective anyway. I half-jokingly asked for a provoke/claiming ability in another thread, most jobs have some form of short/instant cast spell/ability that allows them to claim shit effectively without removing their strongest aspects. THF is reduced to subbing DRK, WAR, WHM, BLM, anything except NIN to stand a decent chance of claiming a contested mob and it limits our potential. I should be able to stroll out to Behemoth's Dominion every day as THF/NIN and stand a good chance of claiming and soloing that shit instead of dragging some other fool out there to keep me alive so I can spam Stun/Provoke every window. I can see potential downsides to this already, but it's a personal grievance and I demand SE does something to please me.

Aura Steal as a separate JA so that I don't steal worthless items instead of buffs.
Collab/Accomplice timers either reduced or split.
Those I would like to see.
As for damage, I agree we need no changes there.

every job needs a pop up box like that though. I get where you are coming from with the claiming thing as well. use a NI spell? i mean you may get lucky wiht people using something too early and get blocked out right a away. a slighty longer spell lets you cast sooner, i know i had my instances i did not get to claim cuz i hit stun too fast.

I mean i get the idea of linking them in this essence:
my idea would be if you use the 50% one it would make the 25% one hit its 1 min cooldown not where SE has is where you use the 50% one it puts the 25% one on the 5 min cooldown. i really really hate that about using the 50% one.
( sorry about using the numbers not the ja names, im not good with names and i get confused)
if you separate them completely you could use the 50% one then the 25% one right after and i think that is what SE wanted to stop.

Shamaya mentioned a change in SA to where it doesn't take effect and disappear if someone moves the mob in another direction. It'll stick around until you actually hit the mob from the back. I thought that would be a welcomed change to the job; as well as what Nef said. There aren't any huge changes that THF needs. If you're any good at the job, you'll be happy with your damage.
