black cotehardie for ws
rapparee harness (tp), depends on pt setup and food you using I guess dry.gif;

upgrade to DS kukri or cerment kukri+1 until lv 68. you might want to dual wield these, as hornet needle is lv48, and isnt too good in the damage department.

Try and pick up some Specs, very good for thf with the Acc and Racc.

At lv 68, Daggers get a huge bump in their damage ratings. Harpe is potentially endgame, so pick one of these up (they're alot cheaper than they used to be) Offhand H.harpe until something lile Misercorde(+1) or Sirocco Kukri.

at lv 65, Garuda's is a decent offhand weapon until lv 68.

Dont TP in AF legs, EVER.

If you have marksmanship levelled (you should, really) use a crossbow, and acid bolts. swap in some Racc rings when you shoot, and you should be able to land some acid bolts on things, which is 12.5% DEF down which benefits the whole party.
Obviously, if you're fighting birds, acids dont work on them.

just to clear it up, acid bolts DO work on birds, they just tend to stick for incredibly short periods of time.

kk thanks for feedback and my marksmenship is pretty low around 130 so cant really use that at my level. I like using bomb core though the boost in attack is nice and if im pulling the flee effect on chicken knife is usually up so i can flee pull. Ill try and pick up bravo's for tping kinda broke atm saving up for harpe.

bomb core + pulling? Am I missing some magical ranged ability that doesn't require a working ranged weapon? Bomb core is great, but there's not really a good excuse for gimp marksmanship. They're awful for colibri, but for everything else, it'll be the single biggest attack boost you'll probably get, and odds are your PT needs it too. When you reach 75 with meripo mobs dying quicker than your ranged attack will go off, then it's acceptable to switch to bomb core full time. Other than that, the equipment sticky + common sense generally = win. The guide even has affordable gear in it, if I remember correctly.

I don't really have a TA macro set for gear yet, not sure if I really need one yet. Just wondering what I can do to better myself or help at all. (Aside from the damn Haste+2% Helmet...stupid NM)

After searching Wiki extensively for all sources of generic Defense Down debuffs, I've concluded that more likely than not the additional effect on Acid Bolts are Wind based; Which would explain why they rarely proc on Colibri mobs. They honestly seem to proc on just about fucking everything else; including Nyzul Isle bosses.

I get the feeling people don't read my stuff. =P

Birds are wind based.

The defense down effect on Acid Bolts is wind based.

Ergo...

Class?

Words 'n' stuff.

Swap that Garrulous ring for a DEX ring. That's about it. Always pick DEX over AGI when given a choice between the two, unless you're soloing TA.

Gotcha just thought the Garrulous would be better since it has STR and AGI, but that's my inner SAM always thinking about STR. >.>

I could melee in AF legs and still be better than 99.9% of the thieves on Cerberus.

But...

That's like saying you could have a broken leg but still beat a quadruple amputee in a bike race.

I'd be damn proud of it too, cuz you know they'd be cheering the cripple on. I hate the sympathy vote.

What does your macro look like?
If it's like:
/equip ear1
/equip ear2

Right next to each other like that, it won't always work correctly. Best to put another gear swap in between two ring/earring swaps.
