If you already have a Square-Enix account you can just go straight to the log-in page which is here:

Choose your language and it'll take you to this page:




After you enter all your information, you will need to log in here, ignore the 'One time password', that comes with your security token that wont be arriving for 2 weeks.




After you get to this page click on "Link Settings" It will give you an option to link to your Playonline ID to your new Square Enix account.




"Security Expansion" will let you register your security token, but you need the token itself for the serial number and one time password that it will generate, which will be in 2 weeks.




ok, now that the Square-Enix account is made and linked, time for POL!

After you log in with your member password(or auto log in, whatever) go to "Settings" (On the password entry screen) All your account info should be there, POL ID, etc etc. The only thing you should change is the "Square Enix" ID, do NOT click on the 'one time password' that will ask for the one that appears on the security token which you dont have yet.

You can purchase a Security token from this screen (It might be congested, be patient):

OK UH so after making a Square Enix account, i try logging into POL but it says either my POL ID, Password or onetime password is incorrent. In the settings i have the onetime password on Do Not Use. Does my POL settings change at all to match my Square Enix account? that or my account got hacked after registering my Square Enix.

you have to put in your Square-Enix ID as what you put it as on the Square Enix site. The name you use to log into the SE site is the same one you put into the SE name in POL

I even contaced PoLs contact center yesterday about this stuff and wasn ot helpful at all FFS they really need to work on customer service concepts

You're the one who fails.

You either enabled "One time password" or you just don't read. You have to enter your SEA password to log-in once your POL ID is linked to your SEA.

If I were working for Square Enix I wouldn't know what the heck you were talking about. Kind of hard to help.

You are not fail, I hit the same problem. Here is what I did to solve the issue.

At the playonline screen, enter your member password to unlock the 2nd round which has your playonline password (if set) ready for you to press OK to continue. Before you press OK go to Settings and make sure, if you have already linked your SEA to the playonline ID to enter your SE account name, but make sure that the "One time password" is not set to be used. This should then change the option where you must now input the SEA password rather than the usual playonline password.

Press Connect for success.
