Good evening! I have a question that some threads can't seem to answer (If there are some that do answer it; please feel free to /slap me and provide a link lol) I was wondering what your opinions are on solo areas in the level range of 45-75? And what type of attritbutes should I focus on as a Solo THF? Any advice, feedback, and opinions would be appreciated. Thank you and happy hunting.

I can't believe OPs are actually bumping their own thread that are just
TWENTY-THREE MINUTES OLD

There is already a THF solo guide pinned at the top of this very forum. It says solo guide 1-55 but it does give details of post 55. http://killingifrit.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=169070.

Not even a day into KI and already my attempt to get my question answered is being belittled. I appreciate you posting, Xurion. However I read that guide and like you said its for levels 1-55. So I'll rephrase my previous question. What're my solo options from 55-75? The guide doesnt go that far into detail and any subsequent posts in the thread is just a flame war between the OP and nefarious lover (who seems awesome btw). I apologize if bumping my own thread is improper etiquette. A friendly fyi wouldve been just as appreciated. So again, if any opinions or advice that can be provided for my newly rephrased question would be great. Thank you.

yeah it would need to be over a week idle to be considered a bump, you were just spamming. If you want to live on KI thf boards you need a thick skin and a healthy dose of ego.

Go try to solo stuff that is how I have learned.

i don't really know what's optimal to fight, but there's a pet guide for blm on the wiki and in the blm forums. since the guide included a bunch of bst pets.

A bumping of a thread is done in order to revive it when it appears everyone has ignored it and/or it has fallen out of the recently-replied-to threads at the top of the thread list - something that did not happen. I wasn't belittling you, or your post.

What I have done in the past is visited ffxi wiki and done a search for mobs at the level in which I believe I can defeat them. Your decision should be based on your gear, skill and if there will be enough mobs of that type around (if there are parties that are close, or of other soloers know of the area in question).

I can just picture the garlic strung around your neck wobbling madly as your beret slips ever more to a precarious angle.

That would be too simple. Picking two kitchen knives, I would suggest that the small one used for peeling fruit or potatoes is the HS. I would them demonstrate the damage it would cause with "Evisceration", by rapidly stabbing you in the left kidney 5+ times. Following that would come the extremely large, stabby knife used for cutting meat and suggest that this was any dagger other than the steaming pile of turd you were using before and repeat the process for the right kidney, then demand you explain to me the difference in damage between the two. If you were incapable of doing so, I would work my way through your kitchen utensils, likening each one to a dagger of varying potency until you ran out of blood and organs or got the message. Assuming you got the jist of my lesson, I would then helpfully call an ambulance and run for the hills, demonstrating two more concepts of thievery, Flee and Hide.

To the OP. You can use the BLM soloing guide for almost any job, the bonus of doing it on THF is that should you link the mob spawning your targets, they're almost exclusively goblins and you're able to Hide. I'm not sure at which point the guide would cease to be useful, but by that time you should be able to gain a decent amount of EXP from campaign battles. Oh, and since you seem relatively dense, you want to focus on evasion.

Treelo dropped the ball.

You cant hide from goblin pets, most (if not all) track by scent.

You're not trying to Hide from the pets.

Konda dropped the ball, path kindly picked it back up. The pet itself isn't that hard to kill, with enough bolts to sink a battleship, perfect dodge and more natural evasion than Tony Blair at PMQs, you'd have more than enough time to finish off your mob and then hide.

pet + goblin if you pull and link.

you can hide from the goblin, but it will fail due to the pet.

Or you can pop Flee, put some distance between you and the Goblin, turn a corner, and Hide, thus when the Goblin's Leech (or whatever) breaks Invisible, his owner won't see you. Honestly, if you can't think on your feet, you probably shouldn't be out trying to solo.

Also, as Treelo said, you can just kill the pet first.

The golbins are significantly higher level than the pets, you wont evade much of them.

30seconds might be enough time to kill a pet, but prolly not pre-DE. And since you can only do this once every 2hrs, I dont think you should rely on it.

Better stat: dont link.
