Or you can pop Flee, put some distance between you and the Goblin, turn a corner, and Hide, thus when the Goblin's Leech (or whatever) breaks Invisible, his owner won't see you. Honestly, if you can't think on your feet, you probably shouldn't be out trying to solo.

Also, as Treelo said, you can just kill the pet first.

you'd need to use a deoderiser before popping hide, but that would work.

Oh I agree, you're hardly going to set out to deliberately link mobs but not having a plan to get you out of the situation is what will get you killed. Personally, I rarely solo anything above EP/DM that hasn't stopped me from figuring out what I would do if I found myself in the above situation.

The pets have very little HP. If you're serious about soloing you'll have blind/bloody/acid/sleep bolts on hand. While you might not be able to hit the goblin with a sleep bolt, which would be the simplest solution, you could sleep the mob you're fighting. That leaves you free to run and hide as path suggested, you could also move behind and SA/SAWS to quickly finish the mob off. There are numerous ways to get out of the situation.

Not really, putting sufficient distance between yourself and the scent/sound tracking mob, something easily achievable with flee, will ensure you're out of their tracking range. Hide will work on virtually any mob providing you have no hate generated on them.
