Hey, I was wondering if anyone knows of a quality program for taking ingame videos. I have heard a lot about Fraps, but I simply do not have the money for the program, and rather find a free program that works just as well. Much appreciated.

Providing that you don't want to record 2-hour long videos of your Sky LS in action, Fraps's free trial works just fine. I used it in my videos. It lets you record at full resolution, with sound, no watermark, for 30 full seconds. Then it closes the recording, and you can start another. It all depends on what you want it for, though.

I really don't want to pay the $30+ for Fraps, even if it is a one time thing. Why pay for something when there is a free alternative that works just as good? Common sense, fuckface.

Irony is, I bet you don't even pay for FFXI, or you're a teenager with a part-time job and only has FFXI to pay for monthly.

Besides fuckface here, if anyone has an alternative to Fraps, it'd be appreciated if you tell me. It'd be nice to not have to spend money if I don't have to. 30 second videos are kind of a problem, since I want to record BCNMs and instances like this.

Got it through a quick google search, easy stuff. Only problem with it is the free trial can't record sound, but otherwise it's unhindered as far as I've seen.

If you didnt like what he said just ignore it. No need for provoking, especially an entire post trashtalking someone u dont know who stated that 30 bucks isnt alot of money.

It wasn't exactly the fact that he was saying $30 isn't a lot of money, it's the way he said it. I think if he sat down and thought for half a second, he'd have found a little bit of a nicer way of saying it, is all. I don't appreciate being told that I shouldn't play FFXI just because I don't want to pay extra money for something I will only use in certain cases, and not on a daily basis. That to me just doesn't seem worthwhile to me. If it were cheaper, I'd be all for it.
