"They put on an ad and then didn't show up for it!"
lol'd
Is it really news that a fast food place ran out of food? The Subway near my house runs out of bread all the time, then again when you're making like 120-150 sandwiches an hour there is only so much you can do. Especially since everyone wants it "fresh".

Sorry, but I have to hit on you for sec:
Hot, smart, and black?! Yeah, baby!
*AHEM*
Anyhoo... Yeah, the whole "they should've stock piled chicken" idea has me ROTLMMFAO. I'm willing to bet this special was made so they can move product before it expired. Regardless, the people who brained this promotion aren't stupid. They knew exactly what they're doing.
Besides, these are black people. They'll bitch but they'll still buy it after the fact anyway. Saw the same goddamn nonsense working for AT&T.

I don't see why there is such an issue in this. Every black person I know loves fried chicken, and every one comments jokingly on the stereotype or reinforces it ('You know us blacks love our fried chicken, nigga!'). What grounds are there, really, for getting offended? There is nothing negative about the stereotype, at least not by my reckoning, and it isn't as though it's lacking in truth. I can see why 'all blacks are criminals' is offensive, and rightfully so, but liking a specific food? That's just looking for something to be troubled over.
Though, I suppose that's just the bleeding-heart liberal stereotype reasserting itself... <.<

Sadly, there are those who get offended over it. And it seems to be the same people who say blacks can only be successful by being sports stars, rappers, or drug dealers.
You know, the black community leaders.
Or guilty, bleeding heart liberal whites.

Are there no white people in upstate New York? I know damned well that the Popeye's around here serves the white devil (not me, though, I actually don't like fried chicken).

I'm black, and I personally don't like chicken that much. Then again, I'm referred to as an Oreo by everyone, maybe that's why my girlfriend likes me for my personality and don't talk like this: "Yo, sup my nigga - I'm hard on the streets bitch!" lol.

That term always made me LOL because it applies to probly 99% of black folks in America.
Even more so because the kid spitting it was usually wearing a $150 pair of Cross Colors BACKWARDS, like WHO's the real oreo here again?!
That said, we have the BEST stereotypes, HANDS DOWN. Even the negative ones come in handy on the regular!

Ok, Villainous, 'fess up. While it's true that black folks aren't all street gangsters, pimps, and whores, there is a not inconsiderable number of black people who will, if threatened, fake it for the sake of scaring whitey. Considering the ingrained and, frankly, sane fear of insane white people that even other white people in this country have, that happens a lot more often than gets properly acknowledged. Point being, you may not act like someone from the worst part of Compton every hour of every day, but chances are you've pretended at least once where someone else saw it.
It kinda goes to the debate about the use of the word "nigga" in rap, not to mention the far more damaging cliches about guns, violence, drugs, and treating women like cumrags. It might be true, at least for some people, but making it mainstream and making it a primary face of the community as perceived by the outsiders is doing a great deal more harm than the catharsis of shared experience does for the insiders.
