Well for all you non-believers you could technically argue that chicken, egg, and single celled organisms were all created at the same time. Since matter in all it's forms was created at the moment of the big bang you aren't arguing over which came first, merely which took it's current form/status first. In this case, it would be the single celled creature.
Welcome to the idiot's guide to particle physics. If that's even what it is.
Following that theory, your diploma is about as useful as the lowest lifeform known to man, the French.

Actually, my version of the question was just a twist =p
Which came first? The chicken or the egg?
Well if you think of the chicken and egg as symbols; the chicken represents multi-celled organisms and the egg single-celled. Looking back on what we know of the evolution of life on this planet, single celled bacteria formed first, followed by the compelxity of multi-celled organisms. So in truth, the egg laid the chicken which in turn laid the egg and started the cycle all over again.
Lets not get into God and beliefs...please lol I made a long wall o text a while ago about it...dont feel like repeating the f'ing thing...just...stop looking for the damn burning bush
