When trying to desynth the Heavy Quadav Chestplates for the Molybdenum Ingots , what would be the most beneficial Mogenhance to have ... 51 tarutaru stools for Mogenhance Desynth and Overwhelming Lightning Energy or 51 Flower Stands for Mogenhance Lightning and Overwhelimg Lightning energy .. I've heard both but asking if anyone knows which of the 2 would be the best for goin for the Moly ingots.

I've always had better results from taru stools with mog: desynth.

Jeez, it takes 51 stools to get that? Do you have any room left to stand?

51 stools will get you your overwhelming lightning energy, which will help with preventing loss of items when a desynth fails. Having more than one stool will not increase the mog: desynth in power at all. If you desynth a -lot- then I'd advise getting 51, especially if you make a majority of your money from it. Saving failed desynth items will save you money.

So the moghancement's effectiveness doesn't change at all until you add the 51st stool? Once again, SE takes a good idea and implements it in the most ass way possible.

No.

You can't increase the power of the moghacement.

You can however increase mog house elemental power.

The two do different things.

Sorry, I don't really understand. I thought Mog House aura was what gives you the Moghancement. If they're not related, what's the element aura for?

Moghancement is a specific key item that helps you in a certain area of the game. Could be anything from an increase in a crafting skill, to reducing the amount of exp loss when you are KO'd.

Elemental energy in your mog house helps prevent loss of materials used in a failed synthesis.

As an example, I have the Drawing Desk furniture. This gives you moghancement: woodworking and an earth elemental energy of 9. The woodworking skill you gain from this is 1. This can never be increased in any way. What can be increased is the elemental energy from other pieces of furniture.

I thought the synthesis protection was only from specific Moghancements, like Moghancement: Lightning or Moghancement: Fire. You get those from certain funiture pieces, but they're usually overpowered by other Moghancement types.

Way I understood the aura was that it improved the effect of whatever Moghancement you currently had active. Can anybody else confirm this please?

No, the aura does not improve anything but crafts of that associated element, to my knowledge. The easily test-able ones (Crafting, xp loss, conquest, etc) have never shown any difference from overwhelming elemental energy.

In honesty, I've only ever tested the effects of moghancement vs. aura once, and that was a long time ago. I specifically remember ffxi wiki saying you could not enhance your moghancement with more aura (otherwise there'd be crafters with skill levels of over 100 + 6).

After checking wiki a second ago, it says that the moghancement will increase (which I'm skeptical about, due to the information coming from an allaK thread).

I'm going to log in and do some testing with my moglification. I'll post any results I have, if anything is worth sharing.
