Okay all, whats up. I'm just curious, planning to come back to ffxi soon, and wondering how the economy and amount of gil on the server is doing atm.

I left after the big gil farmer banning atleast a year or two ago, so I just remember it as being really horrible. Shit was overpriced and no one had the cash to buy stuff.

So is kujata doing any better as time has passed?

The economy has stabilized pretty well after SE really started cracking down on RMT. They're still out there but they're far being as dominant as they were before.

There's certain items that are still pricey but even some of the sought after +1 items are far less than what they used to be. You can always check on FFXIAH to see how the economy on the server or others is.

Even in an inflated world or a depression income is based on what you sell, and if prices are high that means that you have to pay more, but your also making more. The economy will never be at a perfect sweet spot but I mean its like when they raise minimum wage prices go up with it

when RMT was 1st banned, it wasnt "horrible" it was simply, ppl complained their 1mil item is now worth 100k.

the next to issues based on this;

(1) ppl dont realize its value is technically the same. (tho value of many items dropped because of cheaper alternatives which can be obtained free, were now available, not because RMT were banned)(aka ToAU gear, and eventually WotG)

(2) they complained simply because either they bought gil, or some1 who directly gives them gil, was buying gil.
which is the only reason things get TOO overpriced. ppl would never be willing to shell out insane amounts of gil, unless they felt the gil was easily obtained.

but to be back to the point, the economy, is easily the best its ever been (and it cannot and will not ever be perfect, as such a fantasy doesnt exist even in a game with "fantasy" in its title.)
