we can drop a decent roll on the party in 0.5-1s then go out and get the next pull back to the camp and slept. BRDs spend a whole lot of their time singing or some other gay shit. Why would you want a BRD/NIN to pull instead of a COR/NIN and let the BRD go /WHM since plenty of BRD gear adds mp and they probably have better mp gear since theyve spent more time as /WHM.


i think thats losing a whole lot of efficiency.



edit: as for losing damage cause we are pulling....i love finishing the last 20-25% of a mobs hp with my sexual slug shot, but that doesnt interfere with my pulling. the next mob is waiting at camp anyway. a good puller is a lot of work, but COR/NIN makes it so damn efficient. balancing a slept mob at camp with a bit of utsu tanking the next one while you finish off the present mob is a lot of work with a lot of reward.

to properly buff on cor takes way longer then brd singing. I am guessing you do not have a rotation on bard.

pull elegy> sleep > march > go pull > elegy> sleep > march > pull > elegy > sleep> ballad and so forth, sometimes you may want 2 mobs though if it is something weak like a puk

COR gun is slow, COR buffing can be slow, I had people try get me to pull while brd was afk and i couldnt do it because there was a needed double up as the mob died. That ingores the fact you may need to fold and such to get better potency rolls. I rather have melee roam to the mobs and i sleep links with sleep shot as apposed to me pulling. COR pulling is too slow, maybe you never had top end parties?

I know a lot of brds that try to fit in 2 buff songs between pulls, it never works if your pt kills fast enough, I train meny brds in east ron XD, most where happy after i told them that, makes things easier.

I wonder if someone can post on that site to see how Japanese can explain why they do cor/whm if they never cast a cure, I had a merit pt with a cor/sch, then a cor/whm on my rdm and both never needed to cast a cure. the cor/sch would regen it self full time in light staff and the cor whm stoneskin with full time trailers kukri. maybe Japanese don't know how useful joy sword is? both didn't have one.

Well...I rarely invite/go drk to merrit pts because they are just too damn slow...and only 1% of the drks on my server have apocalypse so w/e.
I totally disagree with summoner focusing on cures ONLY....first off, summoner can pull out its own 1k-1.5ks, while buffing, and sub healing. I never had problems doing all three in merrit parties.
Cor...well...this JP button guy must've seen some seriously shitty cors...on my cor I manage to get 100% tp faster than most sams, and can out parse them over time.....seeing a cor/WHM really puts me in aw, if you need help on cures chances are the red mage(or whatever healer you have) really sucks, or just doesn't know how to conserve mp. I mean it's ok to bend your job to accomodate, and make other peoples jobs easier. Main reason most cors /whm in merrit parties is due to their cheapness in DDing. I understand bullets aren't cheap, but c'mon why did you level it? If you didn't wanna DD, you should've been brd, and plz don't use "I liked the af" as an excuse....

I'v tried /whm before on cor just to see what the big fuss was about and quite honestly, its even worse than i thought it would be. First off, the only cures i casted was when i tried to race the rdm just to get one off, my DD potential was straight up dumpster cuz if your gonna actually /whm that means the use of light staff so either have to tp with bullets, or you never ws cuz you /equip swap. Not to mention the fact that if something does go awry with the brd and he bites it on a bad pull, you really cant backup pull subbing whm so your pty will pretty much sit there til brd is unweakend grabbing the occasional close roaming mob.

Also, i dont know what this says about jp healing jobs, because iv been with some pretty poorly geard rdm's in merit who either just hit the job or were potential rmt, and even they never ran out of mp or had anyone close to death. Hell in groups iv led i even stop telling brd's to go /whm after lvl 30 in some cases becuase its just unecessary. If i do need more healing magic in a group, ill go with another healing job, not have one of my group members gimp the hell out of the job i want them to come as and instead of having 1 good job doing 1 thing, i have a shitty job trying to poorly do 2 things.

I also love how JP players tell us how the jobs are made to function, like cor subbing whm cuz they are support/healers. My question to them is why doesnt my af or relic have any healing magic +, or mp +, or really any mnd other than a minimul input??? Why does the armor SPECIFIC TO THE JOB have stuff like acc+, racc+, ratt+, att+, str, dex, agi, etc?! Answer... because cor is a support/DD job, its what it was made as, and its what it performs the best as. The best role a cor/whm has in any party is that of leech, where it just sits there gaining exp at the expense of a group it supposedly is "enhancing by foregoing individual needs".

In my personal opinion, maybe this is just jp players trying to get us to think this is ok so they can group with us as /whm and just pretty much be semi afk while lvling their rmt's at the same time or s/t.
