It may seem weird that I'm posting this on the KI forums, especially since I know everyone loves to bash people and to sometimes make them feel lesser, but I figured that FFXI is really a community of players, and there are tons of players who love to help other people. And that's what I need, help from you. Also, everyone likes free stuff, and the possibility to win free stuff, so that helps too.
My in-game main is Petesy, a level 67 Beastmaster; you might have seen me running around Jeuno, or /checked me from time to time. I have a Scorpion Harness +1 and 2 Woodsman Rings that I am offering to those on this forum if I succeed in what I want to do.
Firstly, what the hell am I even talking about? Good question. Three of my friend and I are part of a Canada-wide Rock Band 2 Tournament sponsored by Amp Energy. We are currently in the semi-finals, and are trying to make it to the finals, which are held in Toronto. How do we go about making it to the finals? Well, there are 9 videos posted on Amp Energy Canada's facebook page, and from now until the 13th of May, people can vote for the best videos and can vote once per day. The top 4 voted bands get flown to Toronto for the finals and get a chance at winning the grand prize.
So basically, we need votes, and lots of them. How do you benefit from this? Well, besides being a good samaritan and helping out a fellow FFXI player in need, I will offer 3 prizes to whoever establishes that they will vote for us in this thread. If, by the 13th of May, we make it into the top 4 bands, I will draw three names from this thread, and those three players will win my Scorpion Harness +1, or one of two of my Woodsman Rings. So, if you have a facebook account, two minutes each day, and want the chance to win some good gear or just help us out on this, post this in your reply to this thread: "I will vote, sign me up!".
How to vote:
1) Log onto facebook
2) Search "Amp Energy Canada"
3) Go to the "Vote Now" section
4) Click on "Vote" on the bottom middle video entitles "UQAM" (the one with the girl singing and the guitarist in Spoonpants)
5) Click "vote" once more, and be prompted to vote for the day (make sure the number inceases in the pop-up to make sure you've voted.
6) Rinse and repeat once a day.
We really need some more supporters, and I appreciate everyone's time and effort, I couldn't thank everyone enough.
P.S. Our bassist is also on Asura, so you're technically helping out 2 FFXI players
