I have a tale,
I have been playing dissidia, and shortly before that I was playing tekken 6. please excuse my skewed opinion to a better fighting franchise:
I would like to tell valefor that Its probably one of the worst, most unpleasant gameplay experiences ive ever endured.
mostly due to the retardedly hard CPU that can 100% dodge your moves, and lack of abilities that can prevent dodging.
I beat the entire game by cornering people and spamming the same move, i think its called tornado, over and over. terra is unbeatable in a corner.
the item system, as well as the backstories, however, are fun. the lack of a story mode/using a character in story mode for each character however is most displeasing (mainly the two secret characters, and the entire forces of chaos who dont have a story and simply take place in the light story) i mean, it looked like you were going somewhere with Jecht and Golbez, but then you went and dissapointed me
I reiterate, the CPU is retardedly hard and will dodge everything perfectly, and the actual fights, battlegen, shop are lackluster. especially the shop, since you can only go to level 36 before having to look for items that never drop.
also, using PP to unlock items in the Shop to buy with Gil is redundant. and retarded.
oh and the idea of having an end boss that you have to fight 3 times without rest is fucking retarded, considering the cpu is already retarded. but then you have a character thats designed to be cheap, that can beat a level 100 character at level 47 if you play retardedly. in a retarded game.
some of the requirements are also retarded, like wall rush within 10 seconds. seeing as some players dodge almost perfectly, you cant hit them. and if you do hit them the odds that they're close to a wall is small because dodging makes them twirl around you like a retarded ballerina. . .AND THEN YOU FINALLY DO IT but then you figure out... its not a wall, it breaks! the solid mountain BREAKS so it TOTALLY DOESNT COUNT and you dont get your DP which would unlock a new summon for you. EX Burst within 10 seconds can also be batshit retarded due to some moves taking longer than 10 seconds to execute (and thus you dont get your DP point) shantottos no-damage skills count as damage, and will ruin your chances at DP, EX Gauges dont refill on retrys.
and seriously FUCK last-chance items. I know that you can counter them, but seriously not until way later.
to sum things up this game is retarded and makes no sense. some characters are cool enough i guess, I forgot why I got it to begin with. Dear Square, if you ever read this: hire someone to work on game balance, it seems that a large sum of your games require it. if you make another dissidia, please add more elements to the fighting, and remove invincibility on dodge (that shits also retarded, as when someone dodges INTO my whirlwind, they shouldnt be able to get out) give characters a list of 'slow' and 'fast' attacks so that blocking is actually useful (block > flood should not be dodgable) and fix the perfect CPU.
