Attempted to solo Anantaboga on cor after seeing on wiki its an "easy solo" for cor

Started ok, pulled to south of island and kited, getting the occasional resist, taking him down to 50% in under an hour.

At around 45~50% however he seemed to gain a MASSIVE magic defense bonus, from then on the best i could get was 2 50% resists in 1 hour, it took me 1 hour to get him from 45~41%.

I really didnt have the time to spend taking a further god knows how many hours to slowly bring his ass down, so i had a rdm friend come in and try. Same result, huge resists and hitting her for 650+. We eventually decided to call it a day and left.

Just wondered if this was something the person who edited wiki had encountered? Was i just super unlucky or something?

Square added rage timers for most ZNM, iirc. You probably just raged it. Could have had your rdm friend zone to reset hate, then you zone to completely reset it. RDM takes over and kites it so it doesn't Regen.

Haven't done anantaboga much so I can't comment on how hard it hits. Upward of 650 seems ragemode tbh.

When it does that.. zone, lost hate, let it regen one tic, go at it again. Problem solved. Same thing you have to do when soloing Dea since you can NOT solo it before it rages.

yea it was my first attempt at a cor solo so was kinda bummed at the time and didnt think about a rage... Hmm... May attempt again then but zone and have rdm friend kite it for a short time.

I maybe just reading it wrong so forgive me if this isn't what you meant..

You can't just zone and lose hate to reset rage while your friend kites. The NM has to actually lose 100% hate, go unclaimed, and regen a tic.. to lose the rage effect.

If I'm wrong please correct me as this is how I've always understood it to work.

i was the one that put that "easy solo" part on wiki. you "should" be able to kill it before rage if you have a decent QD set and have QD merits. honestly this thing is wayy too easy. my friend came while i was soloing it and we goofed off while i soloed it. he would get charmed and i would go shoot him with ice shot and try and kill him lol. so ya, even goofing off, i still killed it before rage.

What exactly would you consider a "decent" set? Since the word seems to be pretty subjective.
