OK, so I run a dyna shell now and we do pretty good ATM

(allows time for the flames of "WTF is this n00b running a shell for.. -insert bad weeaboo joke here-" and such....)

Anyway.....

So this guy.... and I use that term VERY loosly...... lost 2 lots to the DNC AF that he had commented.

He lost to me, a lvl 75 DNC with 3 other lottable jobs

And he lost to our resident healing mama- a lvl 70 DNC with 1 other lottable job.

He was VERY upset at this because DNC is his only job *snicker* and he REALLY REALLY wanted that little blue flower.

I pulled him off to the side in vent and explained to him our lotting rules..... which he knew cause he's been to 4 of our Dyna's before and I specifically made a wall of text to display this, as WELL as when he was recruited he was told BY ME, as WELL as the 700 other LS membes asking over and over in LS chat when he can see.

BTW.. my Dyna rules are as follows- You can lot 2 AF's, or 1 AF and one Dyna 100 piece in your comment if your job lvl is 65 plus.

He had his comment for DNC and a 100 piece, further giving proof of understanding the rules.

I told him VERY nicely that if he was unhappy, then he could join another shell where you lot 1 AF after doing 4 runs, not missing 2 in a row and will get laughed at if you try to lot a 100 peice, if not get kicked.. ESPECIALLY only having DNC leveled.... in a manner that a dad wold break it gently to his 4 y/o that their is no santa clause.




Now, I know this doesn't seem like my style of usuall flame to all hell.... but I just want your opinion....

You'd be lucky to find an LS with such lenient lotting rules, especially in this day and age where most Dynamis LSs are pretty entrenched and have been around for a while. If he's pissed about missing one piece of armour, maybe he'll be more level headed when he joins a shell that only lets him lot something against a bazillion other people on a strict point system where everyone'll have more points than him until the end of time.

Believe it or not, I really am a nice and sweet dude... which is why my flames are so harsh. I don't give you a reason TO flame me outside of FW, and I'm a proven effective leader in LS AND IRL.

And.... in Bismarck.. other random LS's is FULL of item faggotry.... I should know.. I've been in a LOT of them. And just like stated above, you gotta deal with an infinite point system, or LS's that will /laugh at you for comming on DNC ALONE.

Don't get it twisted, I LOVE DNC, but I HAVE to come RDM or PLD because they're A LOT more useful when ya don't have as many as you need.

I agree with your rules and think they are very generous and fair.

BUT...........

I can understand how the guy feels, his only job is DNC, he tries twice to win the lot and it goes to someone with 42 other jobs at 75 and probably 50 sets of Dyna gear. I don't think he was upset about your rules or the fairness of your system but more the people being "greedy" in his eyes.

Me personally, I would rather let someone get an opportunity to get their first set of gear than trying to complete my 6th set. If I was there and already had AF on some jobs and could lot DNC but knew he needed it for his first time, I would not have even lotted........assuming he is a good LS member, a nice guy and has a good attitude.

The two dyna LSs I was in had people that would pass on gear all the time if they already had their main set completed and new someone needed it for their main set to be completed. I know if I am main job WHM coming to Dynamis as WHM and am equally eligible to lot as someone who has 5 level 75 jobs but never comes to dynamis as WHM and I need a WHM item to complete my set and they lot over me to throw it in their mog safe and collect dust I would be pissed too. Common courtesy and generousity can go a long way. Like I said that all depends on the people and how they act and treat others in the LS but I probably play much differently than most of you so oh well. I tend to help others more than myself in game.

Letting a 70dnc lot a lvl 72 item seems odd if there is a 75 dnc in the group.

ALTHOUGH, I'll have to say, when I was 4/5 Bst AF2 (lolbst) usually when people are 4/5 AF2 in the old shell I was in they would get the last piece they needed @1 just kind of out of "hey we all agree he should get it." but this Noob bst at the time went and lotted and was like, "ain't no thang." and I was pretty cross. Got over it though and got the piece a little whiles later. Still what a jerk!

Well generally my lots are pretty terrible hence how i lost lot on N head
and Ixion Cape today only lotting against 2 other people.
Both times i lotted in mid 300s. Lotting against 15 other people... forget about it XD

This situation is, Galego (75 DNC on Bismarck) had commented DNC and 100 peice. That night 2 DNC's and 3 100 peices dropped.

He lost all 5 lots.

Well, instead of taking his loss like a man (and I know how that feels... I lotted a 17 for W.legs under alexine who lotted a 34.... I was a 75 PLD (main) and 75 RDM with 80% attendance in the shell, and she was just a RDM 75 with 20% attendance , main jobbed Sam, and was only lotting because she was on the LS leader's dick. I ate that loss like a man to try to keep order in the shell.... that DIRECTLY went to shyt a day later thanks to Jsoman, Alexine, Lytasha and Vesper. (see Nothing LS drama) ) He was looking for someone to blame.

That'd be Yariss and myself.

He said my rules were unfair, when he's come to 4 of my dyna's, read and was told PERSONALLY on my vent server the lotting rules before going in several runs at a time. I guess sometimes, a 22 year old dude gets menopause... or think they're a diva
