I know I'm pretty el oh el, but I had always believed that the Crit hits +6% affected any attack a MNK did, even via Kick Attacks. I don't see why it wouldn't be an increase of one's overall Critical Hit percentage.

That's how all weapons that say "Critical Hit Rate +X%" work, they only affect the weapon itself. It's also why the Skadi's Cuirie set and Pahluwan Khazagand and Ifrit's Bow say "Enhances rate of critical hits," because that applies universally.

The only exception I can think of off-hand is the augments on ACP rewards, but they're certainly a special case.

The damned things parse within margin-of-error of one another regardless of circumstance. Ah.. ok. Thanks for the clarification, Path. I think I'm still going to go with a DA/ Crit hit on my mirke even though most people think of it as a waste to go that route as opposed to +10 ACC and ATK. If that Crit Hit can reach my kick attacks, it'll totally be worth it in my opinion.

Funny to see a bunch of MNKs expecting their abilities to be ineffective. Basically by wearing your fuma you say, I think my kicks are going to perform poorly today. Because, if they do, god forbid, BETTER than AVERAGE! I know it can't be so, but WHAT IF! At least Dunes leave it open to potentially have a high side. With Fuma it is cut and dry 30-35% of an attack round

some math head take base destroyer delay WITH haste or march and see what 30-35% of an attack round is in seconds.

Those seconds would be the every single guranteed advantages over barefeet or dunes. However, if you don't get the kill shot, WITH a normal attack round, then it's all moot anyways and there is no ground gained.

However, with Dunes, your kicks count if you do or don't get the kill shot, and you have an upside of a high average for that mob.

That 15% is chance PER ATTACK not per mob, not per anything party length. Sure, over 100 thousand fights it could show that average, but if you live on pure averages then that's stupid. On average, i wasnt' supposed to roll 3 hard 10's back to back on a dice table, but I did. You can have luck and it can be huge sometimes.

Try to take alllll these things into consideration. Don't take what others say so 100%, be open

look, i made a small comment to jeho about what happens when you investigate dunes vs fumas. you start by seeing large bonuses for dunes, then you start to see all the little things that work against them. if you think "small differences don't matter" means "NEVER TALK ABOUT SMALL DIFFERENCES OR ANYTHING EVEN RELATED TO THEM!" you're a fool. and it seems that *is* what you think...

as for the rest, i did see a lot of those feuds (less with wrish). as for fighting about small differences... having an opinion (or better: knowing something and stating it) isn't fighting. "what gets me more DoT, sniper or rajas?" there's an answer to that. "but it's not worth your time to answer it!" i'm posting on an ffxi board populated by people who dislike me, who i also more or less dislike, in a thread that was apparently about shenlong's baghs. i have spare time.

since this thread is long dead but yet lives, i'll ask here: why does no one seem to use, frequent, or link to ffxionline? i went there to find a post by someone about mob pDIF to answer a question someone asked me, and noticed that they seem to have lots of good info and no personality games. i also found, for example, a testing thread for something i tested a few months later, but have never seen linked anywhere. what the fuck? is there some sort of stigma about that place that i don't know about?

even when people go off on lolalla, lolKI, lolgamefaqs, lolwiki, they're never like lolffxionline. honestly, i don't believe i've read a single post even mentioning that forum in my 5ish years of ffxi forum wandering. all i've ever seen is links to it when people crosspost elsewhere. anyone?

Ever seen someone say lolStratics, Milich? Some places get popular, some don't. There's no explanation of why KI has persisted given how dogshit terrible the load times were for years. There's no logical reason why a linkshell forum would become a clearinghouse for the entire game population (although the same thing has happened with WoW, so maybe there is a logic to it). Stuff just happens that way. FFXIOnline has never has a big population, but it actually is where a lot of serious-minded folks went there. I guess the truth is that you need the average and the moronic to keep a population viable. Humans need drama, as much as we complain about it.

Of course, I don't really complain about drama so much as foment it. Just arguing is dull, make it entertaining. What else would one expect from an actor, though?
