I am gonna disagree veg, if you can /war mnk should be able to nearly keep up with drg and polearm sam, I still beat them by few % but was close[1.5% lead w/o wyvern and 5% lead w/wyvern].

I dont hasso much personally unless the other DD keeping hate enough where I can use w/o sponging, had I fulltimed hasso would have been wider margin probably lol, and you're under estimating mnk's DoT with zerk up lol.

Well see, that's your main difference tbh. 10 acc 10% haste is going to make a huge diff. I don't like to do tomoe sam w/o cor and brd. w/ that, you're not as much of an mp sponge because they have the MP to do it. I know what mnk/berserk can do in terms of dot and riding seigan third eye don't doubt one could beat my tomoe build, but just purely riding hasso, it's insane.

Hmm... I can see that comprehension is something you really need to work on. For the most part, I really don't give a damn which job deals more damage or whatever. I've always thought that MNK/WAR is overall the best damage dealer in the game hands down. But seeing as how my experience is in some ways limited, I could very well be wrong and am open to it.

Now, going back to my point which you clearly missed, it revolves around the questions that I asked you that to me, you haven't really answered yet. You said that MNKs are "so very powerful we don't need anything from SE or see a nerf ensue". I think that MNKs can deal damage decently and hold their own (depending on the skill and the gear or a player), but nothing short of the best gear would even launch a MNK to what you're claiming as "so powerful". Again, if that were truly the case, where is the demand for MNKs regarding endgame? If MNKs were "so very powerful", why do a majority of good, solid MNKs feel dissatisfied with the job?

Yes, I do believe a bunch of simple-minded SAM bandwagoners are first in line to get access to endgame stuff, but let's be realistic, that is the truth whether you accept it or not. It's a fact and no matter how much BAWWWing you do, it won't change. At least not now. Just the JAs alone attest to that. With a SAM you don't even need to attack a mob to get TP, just use your job ability to get some no problem. And the SAM does this whilst his MNK buddy is beating up on something for less than a 100 TP. Oh snap. Taking too long? Here, buddy, let me give you some TP; here's 157 right there. Is it making sense to you yet? Because if it's not, I'm clearly wasting my time with a stubborn simpleton in every sense of the word.

MNK is by far my most favorite job. And I like to think I've done ok with MNK based on the amount of time I can spare to play FFXI. But despite my fondness for the job, it is not perfect by a long shot. And if you really believe it is, you need to get your brain checked and re-evaluate your position on MNK as a whole.

Do you think I enjoy it? I came to this forum because I had too much time on my hands at work (I had the kind of job where I had a fixed amount of work to do and if I completed it by 2 PM, then I was out 3 hours of pay... which makes no sense if you think about it), but I stayed and contributed because I saw a need for information.
