"boohoo i only play the game for fun, and you must care too much about stupid shit if say anything mean to me. lol alla."
the fact is you said two things that are incorrect. MNK is not outclassed by everyone else as a damage dealer (and that you justified that statement with "everyone thinks it is, so it must be--ANSWER THAT SMARTGUY AND MAKE YOUR MOM PROUD, I CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF THAT WITTICISM!"), and fumas are almost universally better than dunes. i don't need to jerk off to damage equations or stay up all night thinking about fumas/dunes to know those things. you could know those things too if you weren't waiting to fly off the handle. idiots like you who parade ignorance like it's something to be proud of are exactly why no one gives a shit about KI. it's a shame, since lots of (usually solo) strategies have come from here, and path and aurik were very helpful back in the day.
Hmm... I can see that comprehension is something you really need to work on. For the most part, I really don't give a damn which job deals more damage or whatever. I've always thought that MNK/WAR is overall the best damage dealer in the game hands down. But seeing as how my experience is in some ways limited, I could very well be wrong and am open to it.
Now, going back to my point which you clearly missed, it revolves around the questions that I asked you that to me, you haven't really answered yet. You said that MNKs are "so very powerful we don't need anything from SE or see a nerf ensue". I think that MNKs can deal damage decently and hold their own (depending on the skill and the gear or a player), but nothing short of the best gear would even launch a MNK to what you're claiming as "so powerful". Again, if that were truly the case, where is the demand for MNKs regarding endgame? If MNKs were "so very powerful", why do a majority of good, solid MNKs feel dissatisfied with the job?
Yes, I do believe a bunch of simple-minded SAM bandwagoners are first in line to get access to endgame stuff, but let's be realistic, that is the truth whether you accept it or not. It's a fact and no matter how much BAWWWing you do, it won't change. At least not now. Just the JAs alone attest to that. With a SAM you don't even need to attack a mob to get TP, just use your job ability to get some no problem. And the SAM does this whilst his MNK buddy is beating up on something for less than a 100 TP. Oh snap. Taking too long? Here, buddy, let me give you some TP; here's 157 right there. Is it making sense to you yet? Because if it's not, I'm clearly wasting my time with a stubborn simpleton in every sense of the word.
MNK is by far my most favorite job. And I like to think I've done ok with MNK based on the amount of time I can spare to play FFXI. But despite my fondness for the job, it is not perfect by a long shot. And if you really believe it is, you need to get your brain checked and re-evaluate your position on MNK as a whole.
In any case, I referred you to a thread that is basically contradictory to what you were stating regarding the Fuma/Dune Boots debate. Are you ignoring that part on purpose just because I brought it up or are you just talking a lot of crap so you look like you know what you're talking about, but really don't?
people lol at alla because of the idiots that parrot stuff like "lolMNK, SAM is so overpowered, this sick player in my ls told me so" (like you). i counteract that by giving (respectful) people information. what do you do besides for make fun of people for telling you things you don't know? know any good memes?
People lul at alla because the biggest morons all seem to congregate there. And if you have people on gfaqs of all places clowning on fools there, then you know something really isn't right. Make whatever lame excuses you want, it doesn't change the fact that alla fails very hard for the most part and you appear to fit right in despite what your claims are here in this thread. Guilty by association, mirite?
edit: i want to give some advice to anyone reading this. this advice applies to many more things than ffxi. it's a given that i know a lot more about the game than jeho. i'm not trying to impress anyone with that; i obviously think jeho is a fool, why would i try to impress him (or you, whoever you are, as i don't know who you are)? he gave me some advice (quoted above) about how if i had "decency" like some KI regulars, maybe he'd be interested in "my side of the argument".
/facepalm
No, dude. Just... no.
there's a tacit assumption here that you (every you) really don't want to make. the assumption is that i want you to be interested in my side of the argument. that somehow there's something in it for me that you listen to me. there isn't. in fact, in a case like this, "finding truth" is basically the only thing anyone can gain (or they can be internet hot shots and come up with clever disses about parents being proud, which totally isn't embarrassing to see someone try to do). if you happen to not have knowledge, you can maybe benefit from getting it. if someone else has knowledge, they aren't going to benefit from giving it to you. further, when discussing something with someone, they are not obligated to impress you. i don't know if you, dear reader, see what i'm getting at, but i've stopped caring so this post ends. jeho, from the bottom of my heart i want you to know that i care deeply whether or not you let my tone stop you from learning things.
Wtf?
