Summoner Spellcast Suggestions?

Some of the new changes:

Favor has been added! New Gear sets for all the avatars for with favor and without favor active. Also in addition, added a new line when summoning to add in if Favor is active or not.

Spirits have been redone! This was a biggie for a lot of people that like spirits, and hated the auto-cast siphon of the original XML. So what I did was this:

Ice/Fire/Water/Wind/Earth/Thunder: if you summon one of these, it will cast the most MP friendly spirit for day/weather at that time. It will equip the correct gear set, and will stay active until you release it.

Light Spirit: since he tends to be cast for specific reasons, he doesn't change spell. In any day/weather combination it will still always cast Light Spirit.

Dark Spirit: since Dark Spirit is fairly useless on it's own in any situation, this is our new Auto-siphon spirit. Hit your dark spirit macro and it will summon the best Siphon spirit, auto-siphon, and then auto-release, just like the old spellcast.

Notice: ALL MELEE STUFF HAS BEEN REMOVED. Word of advice, use a seperate spellcast for melee, it's much easier than trying to integrate the two.

Plans for future spellcasts: Scaling siphons to maximize MP effectiveness. Bahlran's Ring for assault/salvage (this is probably fairly easy to do right now, but I've stuck with my Ulthlam's and SE won't let me change, so haven't been motivated to look into it yet. QQ )

This is awesome. It's great that some people out there who actually understand this stuff are good enough to share it with others. Your time and effort are very much appreciated by my wife and I.
I did however want to point somthing out. I kept getting an error when trying to revert back to the "basic" gear set.

"Spellcast did not find group "Standard" in set "Basic".

After reading through it I made a correction that seems to have worked.
In line 519. <var name = "Avatar">Standard</var>
I changed it to <var name = "Avatar">Basic</var>
*edit* and in line 879. <action Type = "Var" cmd = "set Avatar Standard"/>
to <action Type = "Var" cmd = "set Avatar Basic"/>

Hope this helps if anyone else was having a similar issue.

Standard is in there. If you look at the pastebin I posted, standard is at line 471. This is your idle set. Basic isn't a set you should ever actually switch too. It's just a "building block" set to make all your other sets easier to build.

I dunno why you were having the error other than you messed up something when changing the sets to match your gear.

Well, I made those 2 changes and it works fine now. So, guess it doesn't really matter.

Yeah, it will work with the changes you made, just creates a lot of extra work on the other sets. The only reason for the Basic Set and the Standard set is because many pieces you use in your idle set only have use in the idle set (gaiters, Hydra neck piece, Umbra Cape, etc etc.) So by creating the basic set it reduces how much you need to add to all the sets that build off it.

Spellcast is equipping light staff for carbuncle, and Pluto's Staff for fenrir.

Is there any way to get it so it stays with crozier?

Go thru line by line, anywhere it has you equipping a staff other than FC, change it. Unless it's Curing, Stoneskin, or Resting.

Did that, numerous times. The only time it has lightstaff written in my spellcast is during cures. The only time Pluto's Staff is in my spellcast is during resting.

It doesn't equip light/dark staff after the avatar is out (since it summons -> equips staff after avatar is out), it equips the staff during the summoning process. /ma carbuncle has light staff equipped during the summon, then changes to crozier after its out. It's messing with my TP when I'm using crozier and fenrir :(

I went throught, then loaded into my game and I didn't lose my TP when summoning Carby and Fenrir, so there were no weapon changes. I wish I could have help you more. I'm sorry.

Do you have light staff, and pluto's staff?

It's changing to those staves only DURING the summoning, not after the avatar's out. It's really weird... It changes from fay crozier, to pluto/light staff during the summon, then back to crozier after avatar is out .. confusing me

Maybe my spellcast is glitching again.. It was glitching last week when I was doing avatars, it would cast the spirit of the day instead the spirit of the double weather, but today doing Ifrit, it cast fire spirit instead of water in the cloister, so that glitch is gone.

I know a lot of you guys have DRG lvl'd also. So I was wondering if anyone had a .XML for DRG lying around they wouldn't mind sharing.

Not sure if its been noted or pointed out, but using daks xml, it wont let you cast elemental spells if day doesn't match. Kinda annoying on the random occasions it happens.

So also now that im 75 and have a lot more gear swapping, ive noticed Dak's xml isn't working correctly, though Im sure its more on my end rather than his. I haven't altered anything other than the gear and macros for bloodpacts to fit my needs. Was wondering if I could post what my xml is and a list of things that either dont happen as I hope or issues and see if anyone would be able to point me in the right direction, though I dont know how to post an xml file in this withough copy/pasting all the lines (and its too long for that). thanks!

Heres a list of things ive noticed that either dont work like I expected and I think I might have messed up, or tried to do:

1) Often after desummoning carby, it keeps my carby mitts equiped
2) after bloodpacts it equips evokers horn
3) not sure what to do, but I want it so that the auraete necklace and fidelity mantle are equiped while avatars are summoned (non-favor) but taken off during bloodpacts and swapped for anything else (like smning torque)
4) Would like it to equip desert boots only during sandstorms, though right now for some reason it equips them randomly.
5) would like rostrum pumps to be worn full time save for bloodpacts
6) Bloodpact time reduced seems off, shows 52 secs after a bloodpact, between YY, summoners horn/bracers shouldnt it be showing 50?
7) For some reason it always equips smning torque and belt for carby even when favor isnt present.
8) can someone tell me why my 2hr bloodpact macro doesnt work?
9) it randomly re-equips smn bracers and dune boots and stuff when carby is out with favor active as well, Ill look down and see im losing mps and be like wtf.

Thats all I can think of right now, Hopefully its just dumb simple stuff ive messed up or haven't caught. Thank you so much to anyone who can go through and fix any of these =D

Mine equips BP etc armor when I'm casting cures/regen.

It'll go from Light staff / BP timer gear

to Fay Crozier / BP skill armor

I'll put mine in the pastebin.
