I used to know this answer... but I can't find it anywhere...

1-3-56.dat doesn't control what my moogle appears like.

I installed FFXI again from a personal base to save me time from downloading all updates, problem is the moogle in that base was modded and nothing I do changes appearance.
What's causing that or what is the new .dat that overwrites for moogle appearance?

Because to change your moogle it's inside Rom/3 Not ROM 1 - 3

wow, I figured part of it...

vista or ie8 was saying it was downloading .dat file and ie could see files and folders created in playonline folder...
but vista explorer couldn't see them even with every hide files parameter I could find turned off

I had to download the .dat to an outside folder before transfering inside playonline

I am not liking vista one bit...also is it normal that ffxi crashes every half hour under 64bit <_>
