Hey all,

I focus on mainly mage jobs, (WHM/SMN/RDM/BLM) and recently decided to adjust my font colors to make it easier on the eyes for noticing enfeebs, debuffs, etc. Just curious for those who have changed their font colors: did you distinguish them at all? Right now I have Beneficial effects on others/self and Detrimental effects on others/self all on a lighter blue so I know what to pay more attention to. If you have a different setup and it works for you, please share.

And before anyone says omgzusechatfiltersn00b, I use them. :3

i use neon green for really imoprtant things i cant miss it stands out really well.

I keep most of my font colours as default and even though I generally cast removal of status ailments before they appear in the chat log, I have "Others detrimental effects" with a light pink/lilac colour, in case I missed someone.

I use deep blue for ## HP cured, and neon green for status effects. Been working nice with me the last 3 years

Buffs on me Purple, buffs on party light blue, debuffs on party/alli deep red.

While we are on the topic of font colors, does anyone know which group of text "Party Member's haste effect wears off," or "Battle Target is no longer slow"' is in? I play straight up full screen no extra 'help' and as someone who returned to white mage after a two year break I would like to know if it is at all possible to change the text color for those messages.

This, but the colors are purely there for when I overlook something, and only on detrimental effects.
This also helps me determine if I should cast something a red mage didn't stick to a mob.
I also have almost everything that doesn't concern me and my job filtered to minimize chatlog spam.

Other then that I keep extensive knowledge of the mobs that use moves leaving status effects you do not see.
Like a lizard's Brain crush leaving a silence effect, Wyvern's Radiant breath silences and slows, Aern's Impact stream leaving a defense down effect.
And those are only a few of many.

Colors are nice, knowledge is better.
