I just had a wonderful thought, BST/NIN dual wielding X's or Blau/offhanding Temp axe

now I was thinking about how a well geared nin can be a monster with blau/perdu spamming evis

however, beastmaster has access to some more deadly gear than a ninja, and a thief

that being:
Adaberk for nin and thf
X's knife for nin
Hecatomb for nin
Byakko's Haidate for thf

with the addition of pets, evisceration spam, and a decent DEX skill, it may be a WS worth looking into

with my new main muscling in (I'm planning on demeriting katana/scythe for dagger/axe)

It's just a hypothesis, but i dont see why it wouldnt work excellent for bird parties.

so. heres a gear thought which isnt too far out of the question (Except maybe adaberk and heca cap)

of course, this is all a matter of whether or not Evisceration will do more than Rampage, with the 25% damage modifier on birds it may

but what does this mean? it means that double axes has a drastically higher delay than 1 dagger and 1 axe, for a ws spam that would be easier to hit higher numbers with.

of course, on non-peircing mobs, axe will be better.

now in the case of x's, you can expect a 10-12% damage boost on ws's, im not sure if its worth it, it probably is, especially with a crit based ws...

should work in theory, but alot of the damage is going to be lost just to the low base skill (230) if everything is maxed out vs. a thf's skill of 269

Yes, it does give us some pieces, but warrior may do it just a bit better but I digress.

I have seen a nin doing an evis-spam - was constantly beating 1k damage and at least 800 damage per ws and did it at least 1x per mob on a bird burn - had a blau main and a katana off-hand - had 3 melee, 2brd and rdm.

It could work if geared with high dex like below, but the trouble is getting an X's as many a thf has gone a great time without seeing it drop as it has a horrid drop rate. Blau will still work fine in that regard, but it would not have the same crit rate increase that a X's would. Again all speculation as I was a thf on a previous character.

ninjas have just as low skill, as well as warriors i believe. the only way WAR would be able to keep up is if they had ridill though, thats my main reasoning. we get an easy to obtain double attacking axe, warriors do not. but in a bird party, you're gonna have a bard right. theres your makeup acc. and if you like, acc skill. I'd like to give it a try

Your going to get some really nice and understandable friends to help you out with this because I don't think anyone outside the BST community would entertain a BST in a regular merit party.
I can't want to see the results though.

Joyeuse DA's about the same, plus war's native 10~15% DA. Not to mention it would not consume stones and would let you use a fire bomblet (so suppa + bomblet puts joy at roughly an axe's acc/atk). Plus Joy destroys Temp for dps since 35/224 (w/piercing ~43/224) > 39/276.

Blau/joy war would out parse a blau/temp bst by a pretty fair margin, so I guess it would depend how much your pet would be doing. But don't kid yourself, you would not out parse an equally geared war since they have 10 higher dagger skill, 15% more DA, bergressor, higher base str, and at least fire bomblet for better gear. Of course, that's assuming the war just didn't use a GA or polearm...

If you're going to compare to warrior, at least make it accurate and realistic. I'm skeptical of dagger on bst, but parse data clarifies all.
