I'm going to stay with XI until I see the state it's in a few months after XIV. Most likely if anything does happen to XI I will just go back to playing WoW casually, although I will probably end up in another raiding guild. :3

As it is ive been thinking hard to quit for some time cause i was getting sick of the Grind, but as of this announcement all I care about anymore is getting a few more jobs I like to 75, finishing up the WoTG story as it comes out, and have fun with friends.

I've pretty much stopped playing FFXI as it is(still hanging around until mog bonanza ends), but once FFXIV comes out ill have it, hell i might even take vacation from work when it drops.

I'm going to begin playing FFXIV, after having quit FFXI for some time.

I quit in March of '04, since I was preparing to go to college. I made a promise to myself that I wouldn't play any MMOs while in college, and I stuck to it.

The day my last final exam was over I downloaded and began playing Mabinogi and then Perfect World after that...hoping for some game to fill the void that the loss of FFXI had left me with.

Looking back, if I had not quit FFXI when I did, I would have stayed living at home or dropped out of college and gone back home.

Now working a full time job, it will be hard to keep up in FFXIV, but I will definitely be playing for fun.

I've been waiting for an announcement like this, and even though the release is still a long ways away, I am looking forward to it.

I quit a while ago ( probly 2-3 years ) and will pick up XIV once its released.


I bought XI as soon as it was released state side. ( first mmo ever ) and it was an experience unlike any i've ever had before. ( i even got dial up from aol free trials for about 3-6 months all different aol accts just to play it back then )

Between the time i left XI ( on ps2 ) i've even picked it up for PC and played it about a month. But once i finally picked up my PS3, I left XI for good.

I've been asking folks at game stop just about every visit " When will we get a Good MMORPG for the PS3 "
After seeing the announcement trailer at E3, I suddenly am excited about it.


I've even popped back on KI just for shits and giggles

The Last time i heard news this good was when the president won the election. This is the first piece of good news i've heard since. ( well other than finding out my wife is pregnant with my first child [a boy] & and i dont think i was this excited )

I've quit FFXI for some time now because I was sick of the monthly fee. I'm sure FFXIV will have one as well, but I'll undoubtedly wind up at least trying it unless the specs are too much for my PC.
