Charges... cooldown... not the same as what I was referring to. Again, I hate to compare to WoW, but the mount system they have is damn-near perfect. Flying mounts are fun and a cool idea, but i'd be all for sticking to ground mounts.

Better skin choices.

I haven't seen much in the beta, but from what it looked like on the character creation skins are either too bright or too dark for my tastes

how come archer gets quivers on their backs for arrows, but lancers don't get a small circle brace like Fang does in final fantasy 13 to hold our lances! ONCE AGAIN. the polearm is just going to be on our backs with nothing too hold it!

Might just be the color settings on my monitor, but I agree. The light skin colors especially are a bit too light, the dark skin colors are more shades and saturations of dark grey/black. There don't appear to many options for brown skin colors, at least among some of the race/tribe combinations.

Bumping this since there's a new staff, and the new factor is wearing off.

1. Destory the market ward system and bring back XI's AH system.
-Market Ward system is a pure flop for the following reasons:

A: It shouldn't take 15-45 min. to browse through a clusterfuck of NPCs in hopes of finding what you need, while I am aware of the search function coming later this month that brings me to my next point.

B: NPCs are unorganized as hell, hardly anyone uses the proper ward and is not "encouraged" to. So because of this the Battlecraft Ward has people selling things like crystals, materials, etc. when they should be in their proper wards

C: Vendors can hold 100 items, but only sell 10 at a time. Would it have killed SE to allow us to sell more than 10 items per vendor?

D: You can't transfer a vendor if they're set, so if you're in Limsa and you have your vendor set in a ward in Ul'dah, have fun wasting anima to go back and check on them.

Now if SE would fix the above 4 issues wards would be decent, however even then it just feels like an AH system with an extra hurdle or two to jump over, so why now just remove the ward system and save us the extra time by adding an organized AH?

2. Remove the fatigue on physical levels
-Maybe I'm overlooking something, but if our physical/elemental attributes are capped based on our current rank level, do we really need fatigue on physical level?

3. Louder Sound/Music
-My speakers, mixer program, and XIV music/sounds are set to max and it's still pretty quiet. The "ping" sound windows does makes more sound than XIV.

4. /target command
-Seriously, you can't use /target <me>, /target player name, etc. to find someone.

5. Chocobos
-While anima is nice to get from city to city or very far off camps, it's a waste on closer ones.

6. Mog House/Storage System
-While retainers can work as a makeshift storage, another thing that would be nice.

7. Sential progress bar in the UI when you have a shield.
-From what my LS told me the only way to tell your sentinel level is by looking at your lodestone profile, another thing that needs to be added

8. Better keyboard controls
-I thought the camera layout was perfect in XI and hope they redo the buttons to emulate XI's. While I'm aware you can assign keys some don't work. Case in point, can't assign the arrow keys to move the camera.

9. Guild marks being gave to the class you complete your leve on
-Guild Marks seem to be random on rank 20+ leves which can be annoying if you're looking for only one type of guild mark (My case, Lancer) and have to tele from city to city in hopes of finding a leve with the marks you're looking is another way to waste anima.

10. Better quests
-So far I haven't seen anything good quest wise. It just seems to be "Go from point A to B" and no fights. The only exception was the Rank 20 Lancer quest, but you can't even call that a fight.

Then outside of story quests we need some that aren't tied to a story and are there to just help out the NPC. Like the ones in XI where people were looking for items and you had to deliver them, etc.

11. Ability to summon and fight with our companion NPC
-Kind of hard to call them a "companion" when they only appear during the main storyline isn't it?

Well, since notorious part a. of patch 1.18 I do have a suggestion... PLEASE UN-NERF CONJURER! Ahem, thanks.

If I'd wanted to be a WHM I'd have done that. I stopped playing rdm in XI because of the autonomy SE promised would be in FFXIV for all jobs, even mages. We were at the very least to have a choice between a whm and blm path if not the total customization package promised but even that has been taken from us with this nerf. Now that the team change has taken place and everything has started falling apart and the whole grand new beautiful vision and promise of something truly outstanding and worthy of the FF name was abandoned in the quest.. pun intended ..to be an inferior clone of EQ, well, once again my job has been pigeon holed into a hand-maiden role ...despite what was promised. I find that morally very troubling, and as a player I find it quite frustrating.

I read where another conjurer, VERY upset, called it a massive bait and switch. I guess that is really what it amounts to.

I was happily, steadily and self sufficiently soloing along for a couple reasons.

1. Because real life reasons do not allow me to commit to static party or LS responsibilities and

2. I quickly found myself being expected to heal, even before the 30's when I got the aoe heal spells, even though THMs had better debuffs and I had the nuking spells...wth?

...and now after months of hard soloing and the inevitable grinding (and time I would NOT have wasted on crafting had I known my job was about to be nerfed), an accepted part of FF games, were all for naught. I can either accept being a weapon swinger or play what a consider to be a broken mage, because THM has always been a disappointment and now with NO aoe plus the nerfed mp it's basically useless. I can hope SE will adjust the massive mp cost increase which makes even one "at level" solo fight impossible without resorting to staff swinging (and no, auto attack will NOT make up for the mp draw) even for someone used to playing solo very well and with great success in the game. So I guess my message is this. Please, please, please reconsider forcing an entire group of players into unwilling servitude against your promises to us and allow those of us who wish to play solo the means to do so.

It doesn't have to be easy...I don't need it to be easy. It just has to be DOABLE, without the ridiculous amounts of time waiting for mp refresh or the nerfing that forced us out of XI and without going broke buying massive amounts of food and without losing our autonomy. Conjurer was finally a non-codependent REAL mage. That was really special. Please don't destroy that. Thank you.

Balance does not mean nerf. Just because you may have enjoyed the broken aspect of being a mage in XIV don't mean that you were nerfed. Having almost infinite MP and never having to worry about it definitely wasn't part of the game, at least it wasn't meant to be but since we all know how broken the game was released, everyone was used to it and now automatically equate the mage balance with a nerf.

Also this was just the beginning of the game balance. In one of the producer letters he said that in patch 1.19 mages will be able to cast without drawing out their weapons. So you know what that means? Mages will have the benefit of mp refresh while in passive mode while in battle. That will fix all your mp management woes, not to mention mages have mp management abilities already.

I apologize if this came off a bit aggressive. I'm not trying to start a fight or anything, but after reading so many of the QQ threads on the official forums it gets a bit old and redundant, and was hoping not to see it here lol. Archers were also QQ about being "nerfed", but then a day later they realized that they were anything but and are now top tier DD in the game thanks to class balancing. They too jumped to conclusions just like many mages did and still are.
