There are several things i'd like to see so if you feel like reading be my guest but if not meh...

1) I would like to see maps filling out by themselves as you explore the area rather than just buying the map or aquiring it from a quest and then you can see everything on it...Would make it more fun to explore it personally and learn the area.

2) I would love to see swimming added to the game even if it doesnt include fighting under water it would be good to explore and find materials that can be used in synthesis and what not.

3) Now if AF armor is still introduced make each piece quest oriented but if coffer is still used make it 2 parts...1 part to find the armor in the coffer and 2 to use it do a quest like all the AF gloves in FFXI but have each quest diffrent for each class and have the coffer alil easier to find but make the quest it self harder to even it out...Im sure we all hated waiting/looking for the coffer just so someone else could pick it who isnt even going for their AF.

4)One thing I want to see are a few new weapon types for each class i know there's a huge variety as it is for some jobs/classes but others have 1-2 weapons that they can switch between.

5) I would like to see more in-game events that arent related only to Real World Events i know FFXI does this already but more wouldnt hurt ya know.

6)Have an In-Game calender just to keep ppl updated about certain events that are taking place at that time along with the start and end times of the events, and also just to show us the day it is sometimes we forget.

7)This i'd really like to see have the weather effects in areas effect the monsters behavior/condition, such as either making them stronger, weaking them, grouping together as a herd instead of roaming alone, speed reduction/enhancement(only for speed movement, maybe attack but doubt it), etc.

8)I would like to see some monsters have their original looks back well the ones that seem to deserve it and the 2 main ones i can possibly think of are the Cactaur and the Tonberry i just dont think the FFXI model suited them too well but then again it might just be me.

9) Last of all the on thing i truly hope to see but i doubt it will happen is a Coliseum, screw ballista and all the other conflict crap im sure everyone would like to participate in a pvp battle with a coliseum rather than random pvp encounters at least this way it will be by choice. Have diffrent types within the coliseum whether its 1v1, 3v3, or 6v6 or even put some handicap matches for the hardasses that think they can do it all with 1v2 and so on i think this would make a gr8 addition i know it would have more hype and alot more participants than ballista and the others.

Not easily, but possible to get the highend gear without the need of many people.

I want something like this more then anything in 14. Make events group based, but let us get some of the better gear with a system like campaign or assault.

Participate in event

Accumulate points

Use points to buy gear

Thats what I loved about the above mentioned events, you never had to hope and pray and wait for a pahluwan body to drop, you just needed the points and you could choose what you wanted. Screw all this 'fair' linkshell rules/lotting "rights". Lotting rights? really? Something drops and you hope and pray that your LS leader or none of his friends are leveling a job that can use it recently so you can have the 'right' to lot. Not only that but after accumulating points with the LS and you finally get to lot something, the LS breaks... god..... damnit I hate life.

That would make these NM pops and absurd drop rates (4 years waiting for bst gloves from xarcabard, another 2 years for rdm hat, 5 years waiting for someone to give a fuck and help me camp Charybdis for my Joyeuse) Years.... Years for gear? That is ridiculous. Anyway.. Heres hoping 14 does a better job with it.

I wanna see the HNM scene stick around. Call me crazy, but I loved camping for HNMs. Maybe not 3 hour fucking windows...but still similar to how it is in FFXI.

It's always fun not knowing whether or not you're gonna get it...or that bitch LS next to you is gonna get the spawn.

Plus, you get to talk shit to everyone there too. Nothing is as fun as that.

Yea, nothing screams fun like watching botters take your HNM everytime. The idea of claiming HNM's can kiss my ass.

I agree with this but id also say make them forced spawns as well, cause some ppl do HNM to gain money while others do it to actually use the item. If you want to use the item do the forced pop with a diffrent version or modified version of the HNM which is rare/ex or whatever it will be this time around, but if your trying to sell it then do the real one, thats how i see it would benefit both ways.

Mounts.

Making sure every Class is unique, distinguishable and has a use, ala WoW.

Instanced/ forced popped bosses. Camping is just gay.

Real rewards from quests not some stupid level 7 Sword for a quest that required 2 hours of work to complete.

GEAR PROGRESSION! Like really. I don't want to be wearing the same fucking chest piece from O.G. FFXIV come expansion #3. There should be a constant gear upgrade to make doing whatever end game that is around worth while.

Customizable characters in game not just at the character creation screen.

Being able to swim or climb would be pretty rad too.

End game options. Raiding should not be the only way to get the best gears around. I'm hoping story missions are just as important as they were in FFXI in terms of rewards.

Contained PvP (ie: not open world) of some sort and not the fail system that was in FFXI.

That's all I have for now.

The ability for you or your friends to invite each other onto the back of your/their chocobo to pair up on the same chocobo. Being a tarutaru, I've always wanted the ability to ride on the same chocobo with a friend.

Personal airship.

Personally I'd like to see more skill or at keyboard time involved in this game rather than engauge > go look up vids > come back > ws > go afk again look up some porn. etc. etc. etc.
More interactiveness, Less giving me reasons to wish I were at a trading card club expo or something.

No more bullcrap spending 6 + hours a day online to accomplish nothing because A- noone likes the job you are on. B- Drop Rates are terrible on everything. C- SE fails at MMO's (WoW's population is proof).

A more active GM or STF group involvement. Unlike these pussies we have now I want to see more people who can do something about issues; fixing them and dealing punishment to those who get several calls placed on them for their characters behavior.
It would save the game multitudes of stress and probably bring back alot of old players *from the mmo's they now play.

Less racial favoritism, an even playing field. Release the game all over the world at the same time so everyone can grow together. JP favoritism in the past has only spread boundaries between cultures and races in the game and doesn't help the overall aspect or goal of a true final fantasy game which is working together or living amongst each other.

Which brings me to my next point, an always active autotranslate function. lets say i type in "Hi How are You?" on a spanish players screen it shows up as "Hola Como es usted?" When they type back "Yo fino y usted?" it shows up as Hi How are you? etc etc for other languages based on what your set preference is. This would help relieve us of boundaries we once before could not reach and get rid of those annoying ass green and red arrows.

No more tarutaru's. God Awful Creatures. Burn Them All.

Next point - more equality among stats or more inequality. Like on FFXI a taru blm at 75 will have an assload more INT than an elvaan, but on a melee job a taru only has 3 less STR? that just doesn't make sense especially when they have like 400 more mp when on mage jobs and only 150 less hp on a melee job. tell me how that works outside of well tarus have to tank hnms dood. because i dont want to hear that, the description read highly suited for mage class jobs.
Or, what about completely customizable stats kind of like with the merits, only you get to choose how your character levels and what its potential can be?

Reminds me of something else I'd like.

Auto-shot for RNG. Nothing was more annoying that having to slap my enter key three times to fire a single shot.

Having played WoW PVP as well, it's pretty fail as well. FFA deathmatches are what most people want. Teams can be fun, but FFA isn't asking much.

~Jumping..simple but useful
~Swimming, leading to underwater towns, or underwater caves to fight new mobs. (the only way to get there is to swim).
~i would like to see the return of the sub job, if executed correctly.
~Chocobo/mounts that we personally own and call at any time.
~PVP- similar to WoW but not exactly, give it a FF twist, but i really enjoy games like capture the flag, would love to see something like that.
~HNM in there own zoned instance/Dungeon so multiple party's/alliances can go in and not have to worry about another party/alliance stealing it. (think WoW instance style)

im not a WoW bias I hate both games equally..i kid i kid,
seriously though i love and hate both thing about both games., but why not implicate the things that do work, and make them better, more Final Fantasy fan based.

Chocobo mounts that you can call whenever would be awesome... not having to find a guy and pay a stupid fee. I don't think sub jobs will come back, just because classes in FFXI had so many abilities while in games like WoW, you had a whole bunch. If they give each class plenty of abilities and a way to customize, there would be no need for subs.

1- PvP: A system much like Lineage 2. What I have in mind is along the lines of free pvp everywhere out of towns, but if you kill a non-hostile character you gain chaotic state and an amount of karma so that you can be killed with large exp penalty even by non-hostiles. PvP/PK count. Little penalty on exp or gil when losing in a pvp encounter, where the gil lost by the loser would be going to the winner. No penalty when being killed by PKs. Keep PvP events like ballista and brenner.

2- Incentives for old players: Who had a subscription for FFXI should be getting something like a rare/ex piece of equip, something useful or fancy and an item that gives an amount of exp or just extra gil.

3- More starting gil! Alright, we have quests but 200 gil to start is not enough even to buy your starting gear!

4- Decent rewards for quests: No more 20 gil or bronze harnesses. You get what I mean.

5 - In depth character customization: Possibility to customize facial structure of your character, height and body mass.

6- Decent equip available even for who doesn't have a large linkshell.

7- Equip and weapon augmentation using particular items needed. Like in a synthesis but upon failing there would be penalty only on the items used and not on the weapon/equip itself. For an example, equip piece doesn't break but you lose part or all of the items you used in the augmentation.

9- Voice acting at least during cutscenes.

10- Less farming! There was something really annoying in FFXI and it was farming for hours and hours to gain money. If you don't have alot of time on your hands you're pretty much screwed because of stuff that cost alot that you're actually *required* to have in parties. Besides, while farming is part of the game to make it last longer, it gets to do the opposite when it requires too much time! At least add other valid means to make money like in quests.

11- More solo options. I know FF is based on forming a group and go on adventure. But FFXI was way to centered on that, after level 10 you were always required to have a party to gain exp. And in endgame you couldn't do anything useful alone anymore.

12- No more deceiving mob checks. If the mob cons as easy prey it should be an easy prey! Not something that can actually kill you easily.

13- Relation of drop rate to spawn interval of NMs. It is very annoying when you wait for 21 hours for an overcamped NM and you're lucky enough to claim it and you get nothing. So why not making a NM with 24 hours interval have a 95% drop rate on it's signature drop and another with 15 minutes interval have 10% drop rate for example?

14- No more neverending currency farming for ultimate weapons and actually give real quests to complete to gain them.

I think that is all for now.

I said it before but again with all this stuff popping up I need to say it again:

1. Better customer service.
-I'd still wager trained monkeys could do a better job than the current NA reps.

1. All NM spawn by pop items

2. Same standard of etiquette for JP and English players

3. Every GM regardless of JP or English will enforce the rule ojectively with same standard

4. Official windower

5. 20 lines for each Macro

6. NPC vendor item prices reflect accordingly to the AH market price index

7. NPC craft material item will not be sold out

8. Battle music for class that doesn't draw out weapon

9. Less harsh death exp penalty

10. Level cap 99

11. Dmg 99999 from player and thats me only, everyone else is only 999.

tbh a pvp system like Diablo would suffice for me. I wouldn't mind just once when a player rants on about how great they are at 1 on 1 and that they're unbeatable, to challenge them to a match outside town, where there's no penalty for changing equip. It's a match to the death and when one of the players wins, a small bonus to exp is granted. For larger matches a system like ballista would be nice, but make a multitude of games, like a king of the hill(Free for all), capture the flag, the original ballista from XI and perhaps a deathmatch.

Rather then a leveling system, something like the previous FF games(X,XII,XIII).
