Cause you feel like it. People forget that these are games, they are meant to be fun. If you feel like playing FFXI more than play it, if you feel like switching over to FFXIV already, go ahead. You don't need to hop on the bandwagon, do as you please. :-)

Well, I still play because I enjoy the social aspect of the game. I mean when you think about it, that's about the only thing you'll ever get out of an MMO. It's not like you can will your character to your great-grandchildren or anything. For me FFXI is the substitute to what I was doing before FFXI... sitting in a bar room, slowly destroying my lungs and liver.

Honestly, I'm still on the fence about FFXIV (my god, are we up to 14 already??). Frankly, the prospect of a brand new world where everyone starts off the same and we're all exploring things together is pretty exciting, but I still enjoy my friends in FFXI and for the most part, SE has fixed a lot of the things that were seriously wrong about the game. Also, as was said in an interview, SE's still going to be supporting FFXI. I'm sure they'd love nothing more than for you to be paying 2 premium monthly fees.

I'll level jobs simply because i'd go nuts waiting to damn long for XIV. However, i WILL say that i will be moving to XIV when it releases no doubt.

well, we really have about a year before possible because they already said that 13 will come out first, and its scheduled for a spring release, which means summer at earliest for 14, which is a year away.

FFXIV is at least 1 year away.. don't expect it to hit until end 2010.

Beta testing has yet to even start.. and they're hoping to have it on a longer beta than XI's run of 4months.. so you can guesstimate the release schedule from there

SHHHHH! Don't jinx it! SE said Spring 2010 (dear GAWD it is soooo weird to be thinking about 20-fucking-10!). And seeing as how they've been working on it for five years, I expect a prompt release (obviously, not on the same day as FFXIII).

Of course, I fear if they make a 360 version, Microshit will cock-block us all and have the game delayed until their version is done.

what?! this game is still fun hmmm and people still play it too . Just got back from my one year vacation,and I feel like a fool for leaving in the first place but awwww well guess I'm take the time to meet new people along with enjoying whats the fun things FFXI has until the next one comes out .

Its so easy to homebrew on PSP these days, anyone can do it if they have a set of instructions along with it.

BTW, if you are waiting on the american Dissidia, it'll be worth every penny. Its going to suck getting everyone to lv.100 again, but ohh well it doesn't take that long.

At first I wanted to stop leveling up, but what am I gonna do until it actually comes out...
Until it actually comes out, I'll try and do everything I wanted to do before I even knew about FFXIV, and when the time comes I'll go over to FFXIV.
