What's the problem with that? Golden Sun completely wrapped up its original storyline with the first two GBA games, and its not as if those characters were anything special in the first place. Camelot develops some of my favorite RPGs as far as battle system and gameplay goes, but they've always been relatively weak in the storyline department, and their character department is nonexistent. In Shining Force 1-2 nobody cared because the story was pretty on par with the games of the time, and in Shining Force 3 it was less of an issue because a large cast with huge ground covered made it have a more epic feel, but with Golden Sun it became more apparent because you're stuck with the same 4-8 bland and boring characters throughout the entire game, with the supporting cast not being much help.
And as far as balance goes, I find that attack psyenergy sucked after a bit into the game- that's something I want them to fix. In the original games I tended to mix and match Djinn so that every character would have some sort of healing capability, because if you had good weapons they would completely outclass psyenergy even with their random activation rates, because not needing to cost any PP makes up for that.
Golden Sun DS The long awaited third entry in the Golden Sun series!
