Hello Titan players.

Not sure if anyone still remembers me, since I quit FFXI about 3+ years ago.
My name was Gambit.

I just wanted to say hi to everyone I used to play with and was wondering if anyone I used to play with was still around.

With FFXIV just announced, I kind of want to get back into contact with old FFXI friends and see if they're going to play XIV in 2010.

Kossori - Still see him(her?) around whitegate.
Kamanao - Still plays. Leads Abunai.
Jaktehtripper - If he still plays, I never see him online anymore.
Sivik - Server hopped to Remora. Is now in Apathy.
Flyingdragoon - Disappeared randomly causing Particle's collapse.
Lesterp - No idea. Haven't seen him on in forever.
Banmidou - Quit. Someone else has his acct now.
Ichthyos - Got banned for Salvage dupe. I talk to him on a regular basis. I'll pass along your thread.
Angermanagment - Still plays, I think. He takes the summers off FFXI so he might be on Bismarck with the rest of Legacy.
Mioko - Quit a long time ago.

The Sake crew is playing WOW. I saw Sako while fishing a few months ago and talked to her.
Jak has 2? kids now so he doesn't play much.

Sup Gambit, its been a long time Bro. I quit about the same time you did and like you, the announcement about FFXIV sparked my interest again.

I still talk to Draaco and Station pretty regularly.

I haven't talked to Ruby for a few months but I'm sure he's still active on his PS3.

Draaco and I play WoW off and on, depending on how bored we get... We've just been waiting on a better MMO to come along..

Soo... Gats, Smite, and anyone else that will read this thread and has played with me before, I have a question for you all.
Are you planning on playing XIV when it comes out?
It'd be cool to gather up a lot of the old Titan crew and start XIV together.

I'll be on the lookout for you, Xerlic in XIV.

I'm personally thinking about playing XIV next year but other MMOs have me interested as well....
Such as Aion, Guild Wars 2 (whenever that'll come out), and Star Wars: The Old Republic.
I've played Guild Wars (8 months), Age of Conan (4 months), and Warhammer Online (1 month) since my FFXI days but none of them could hold my interest for nearly as long as FFXI did (2 and a half years).

Anyway, it's great to hear from you guys.

Aion looks really good, but I don't know if I'm gonna bite. Nicblue, who is in my Salvage group, has been playing it and really enjoys it. He's been trying to get me to play.

SW: The Old Republic looks really really good and I'm not even that big of a Star Wars fan. Mero is a HUGE Star Wars geek and he's been chomping at the bit for that to come out. Have you seen the trailer from E3? Holy crap, is all I gotta say.

I had forgotten you were also from Rockland lol. Yea, I'm still here. I work in Manhattan, though, so I will probably move to Westchester or Bronx/Queens soon cuz the commute sucks. What're you up to RL wise?

Yes, I saw all the trailers for E3 via live HD feed from IGN.
Those few minutes of TOR CG trailer was better than most of the Episode 1-3 movies combined, lol.
But the game will obviously look very different compared the CG trailer...

I was shocked and confused when I saw the FFXIV announcement / trailer.
Couldn't believe I saw a Galka in there and couldn't believe it was coming out next year.
It was probably the biggest announcement and surprise for me this E3.

I still live in Rockland but work in Jersey.
Want to move to Cali to work in the video game industry but CA's economy sucks more than other states right now...
Oh, and yeah, I used to go to school in NYC and had to drive into and out of Manhattan 3 times a week for a year.
It sucked so bad and I developed road rage that year, lol.

Ehh
I know a few people hated/disliked me back when I played but I don't remember getting too many "death" /tells or even hate /tells.
I never screwed anyone over or stole anything from anyone during my entire "career" in FFXI...
Oh well, some people hold grudges forever and will never realize that FFXI is just a game.

Ya, it's amazing how many old faces have popped out of the woodwork, especially in recent months. In fact, a lot of those people you see in those screenshots are a part of Abunai now, and Rad still enjoys delevelling to 74.

Jak is still job hunting w/kids in tow. Last time I saw him was about four weeks ago, and he doesn't do much of anything when he's online, except socialize.

A few of us are already talking about what the plan will be once 14 comes out. I think it would be sweet if Rad made JRv2 and we all hook up and explore our noobness together. Kind of depends on how it actually plays out, cause the camping crap and level grinding is definitely no fun at all. Besides, Diablo 3 is another thing I look forward to.

I think we've spoke about starting our own LS a few times back in ITV days but I never wanted to lead or co-lead a LS due to drama and other stuff.

So yeah, I'll visit KI and your forum from time to time, especially when more information on XIV comes out.

Yeah, the roads suck worse than ever and traffic is horrible during rush hour.

To answer your question about 14,

I've always said 11 is my first and last MMORPG. I stand by that. I barely have enough time to do the basic endgame stuff with my chars let alone level it so I can do it again in another MMO.

Those are some old pictures of me, I only wore those wise braconi +1 for a few weeks before I put them into storage. They are still there.
