I'm level 41 right now. Recently I've been trying to duo with another BST, but we've been having some trouble. Either EXP is really slow, or the mobs are too tough and we die a lot. What are we doing wrong? I tried following this guide. So can anyone help me out and explain how to duo correctly?

I soloed my way to 75 when I originally levelled bst but when my brother started to play it too, he got to 42 and we started to duo.
We didn't use any guides as I more or less took him to the same spots where I used to go.
Only problem was you might have to leave the same zone a little sooner then you would if you soloed there because you would reach that point where exp would go bad as a duo.
Some areas you can move to much sooner as a duo as long as there's a nice mix of mobs to convert from T to EM.
