Brave warriors of the Allied Forces of Altana, heed these words! New battlefields and new orders await you with the coming of the new version update. Your mission will not be easy, but rest assured that you will be rewarded handsomely for your efforts.

If you would take up arms for the cause, you may read on for your briefing.

The upcoming version update will see exciting developments in Campaign, including the opening of new areas, the introduction of the "Union" system, and a host of other additions and refinements.

The Battlefront Moves North!
The following areas will become potential sites for future Campaign conflicts:
Beaucedine Glacier (S) / Xarcabard (S)

New Campaign Medals!
Currently, the highest decoration players may be awarded through evaluation is the coveted "Wings of Honor." With the new version update, two yet more prestigious distinctions will be unlocked, and the corresponding equipment—including body armors for each nation—will be added to the items obtainable with Allied Notes.

All for One and One for All! Introducing the "Union" System
Building upon the existing parties and alliances, the new version update will allow players to form larger battle regiments known as "Unions." By joining a Union, players may take part in Campaign operations on an expanded scale and receive a wide assortment of battle spoils for successful efforts.

To join a Union, a player need only seek out a Campaign Arbiter while in possession of Allied Tags. Any Campaign Arbiter will heed your request, regardless of nation affiliation.

Great riches await triumphant Unions, including but not limited to the ancient currencies obtainable in Dynamis, a wide assortment of synthesis materials, and the spoils of vanquished Beastman Confederate captains. Such rewards will be distributed via Union treasure caskets after the conclusion of each battle.

Scavengers be forewarned! Those who sit back on the sidelines to let their allies do the dirty work will find themselves denied their share of the spoils. Soldiers must make sufficient contribution to the cause to be eligible to reap the rewards.

About time they offered a different way to obtain ancient currency, again will be interesting to see how this pans out considering it's performance based in nature.

The way that I read that is...you have a group of ppl that head off to handle whatever battle the group is to do and one of the members goes afk for 90% of the fight. When the battle is done and everyone is getting whatever the rewards will be that person won't get anything as they didn't do anything.

It almost sounds like the 'auto' feature of seek party. Right now it seems most people like to be solo in Campaign for whatever reason. In the new update it sounds like you can do this 'Union' feature and be teamed up with people automatically without having to form parties. By doing so you will have the benefits of a PT and the prizes as well. It should promote a more team feel to campaign which it really needs.

I wonder how they are going to do the treasure, if it will be pooled or if everyone will get something, it will suck if you constantly do union battles but then fail at lotting because 56 other people in your union out lot you. Maybe this will also lower coin prices

i wonder how much of a impact on the currency markets. i doubt that a lot of currency could be gained but after a while it could be that the only major blocks to geting a relic would be geting the the items that only come from dyna

Interesting, but more info needed. Way I read it sounds pretty cool, can’t wait to see what other spoils it offers, out of dyna currency. As well finally the Allied Notes bodies are finally here, those are a bigger interest then currency, can't wait to see what they have pacing, as well they look cool.

Cool to see them do something like this, sounds nice.

Makes me wish that they'll use this in XIV too, since it sounds kinda WAR'ish. Maybe in a bigger scale, too.

That's the thing everyone hates about campaign............people do that and make the battles last forever without being able to fight anything. I always bring RNG to find the jerks doing that.

Too late? even after the fort nerf, Campaign is a great way to enjoy the game and get some exp. this system will only make it even more enjoyable.

As for getting relic weapons through this, i highly, highly doubt it. i'm betting it's more likely going to help people upgrade -1 pieces, who just need like 10.

If ancient currency is offered, I can bet that the price for them in bazaars will drop, ultimately leading to a much more easily obtained Relic.

Granted, 70mil rather than 80mil is probably not going to be easy still, but it'll be easier.

...that is unless of course the "100" versions of the coins are offered, but I really highly doubt that unless it's rediculously rare.

I could see this going both ways as far as the dynamis currency.
On one hand it allows for more peices to enter into the econemy, which will in turn drive the price on them down, (But it could drive them up, as supply increases demand may increase and cause inflation) But i suspect price will fall.
It will allow those people lookin to do Relic-1 upgrades a easier chance to get the peices, but honestly even at 7k a pop if you only need 10, thats only 70k which isnt hard to get. And they still have to get the -1 peice in the first place, which if you have the ability to get that chances are your in a LS that has currency that you maybe able to buy for a discount.

If its a relativly low amount of currency that comes in through this, then not much will change in the economics of currency sales.
If however they implament it and it floods the market with currency, then prices are going to plumit on currency, and relic's will become much much easier to get. I dont see this happening but its certainly a possibility. SE Maybe realizing just how hard it is to get these and they maybe thinking "with 14 on the horizon, we could use this as a way to allow more players to continue playing untill 14 comes out, since they have a better chance to get that much sought after relic weapon"

It'd be great if the northlands dropped ancient beast coins and the current campaign areas dropped dynamis currency based on region (and maybe mix it up at the campaign dungeons).

I'm not going to be too happy if those bodies don't come with npc storage.

You know what I hate about campaign? Everyone sits at the tower waiting to pick mobs off the tower.
It's one of the most unrealistic things about campaign.

I know you can get the NPCs to launch a counter offensive, I've seen it. And I'm sure as hell going to blame these lazy fucks for every lose on the campaign map. And the distinct lack of ANNM to do.

Union sounds like a great way of getting people to team up for campaign, though.

So... you complain that people play Campaign unrealistically (whatever the fuck that is in a video game) and then proceed to whine whenever a zone gets lost. After I've been to three zones waiting 15 minutes for mobs to arrive only to realize that all but one of them is dead because some shithead is soloing very, very slowly at the backend of nowhere, I stop going for a month or two. I know I'm not alone. You're directly responsible for the losses when you ruin anyone's ability to participate.
