Just need to vent, went 3/3 for pulls this weekend sacrificing sleep etc.. and this stupid bird still wont drop 0/3 even with x2 thf BAH! oh well.. I'm starting to think Sirocco got wind of my X's knife droprate and decided to join in the fun!
Had to vent and when I say the aforementioned statement to my finance/coworkers/friends they just look at me funny!
Oh yay Krutzetz..

0/3 isn't that bad, is it? >_>
I'm personally 6/6 drops, so it probably is bad.

I'm personally 2/3 since camping for myself and a friend. I've killed it a few random times before that, when on the way to Adamantoise/Aspi when I did HNM's, though I don't recall the number of times it was killed, just that it never dropped.
Fortunately, I had a friend who helped with TH4 with both the drop kills.
But man, I hate weather NM's. Camped it 6+ hours once, having woken up early before work, and was forced to leave before elemental weather happened. The next time it took four hours, I believe, and that's when I got my drop.
Couple of days ago, my friend wanted to get it for his 65 THF, so he got ToD. I noticed him camping and offered to go help him, since he said it would be force spawned the next time there was weather up. Spent 8 hours waiting for that weather to appear...Though at least it dropped. Would have raged megatime if it hadn't.
Truly despicable monsters.

I went 1/2 on the guy, got it when I had TH1 instead of TH4- go figure. Soloed him both times on NIN/DNC, the TH came from just some random free THFs in my LS who Oped out and hit it once.
It wouldn't be such a big problem if the game was committed to the damn weather reporter instead of having it just happen randomly even outside that. There's stuff we like to make games more "realistic" but this isn't one of them, SE.

Yea, I hear you on the weather, twice now I had to wait 4 or 5+ hours for a wind to pop. Once it was 5 hours after the end of tod, so I camped 8h starting from the 9hr window open. Oh well I suppose it could be worse like some people have pointed out. I'm going to keep at it. No pop last night so maybe tonight after work I can get it!

TH doesn't stack! You'll get it. I haven't heard horror stories of Sirocco and I've heard horror stories of about everything else. I think my friend went 1/4 on it and that drop rate seemed kinda meh as well.

So 4 kills, 1 wipe and having a jp "(|Home point|) (|leave|) ^^", and 1 lost pull and alot of hours standing in Terrigan later I finally got my dagger on the weekend. Oh yay!
Anyhow, a word of warning to anyone camping this in the future (and I know this is kinda common knowledge), its definitely easy to duo, but if you stick 4 melees on it, be prepared to heal alot.

Just a bit of FYI for those camping:
It's a surprisingly easy RDM/NIN dot kite solo, if you have 75 rdm sitting around (who doesnt lol). My gear is utter crap and I don't recall having any difficulties other than being a little wigged out once grav built up resistance. I got it down to 30% with ease before a BLM friend showed and zone nuked the rest.
1/1, luckiest I've ever been with a drop in FFXI (although it did take about 48 hours to spawn...)

where'd you kite it the tunnel? there's alot of agro in that area, kiting wouldn't be my prefered option. especially since its so easily duo'd or trio'd...

i've seen a good few RDM/NINs kite it in the tunnel. It's bloody easy to duo with RDM and THF though. So easy that I was able to do it pretty much solo with a dual boxed RDM in the background.

yeah i've duo'd it plenty of times. i'm not a rdm so i dunno about rdm solo'ing, i just imagine it wouldn't be too easy to pull off although i'm sure it could be done. imma bug my rdm friend to go do it so i can watch now...

1/1 about 2 years ago while camping Aspid. Someone was coming late and said it was up and we went and killed it in between window. ;P

It's a very simple RDM solo actually. As long as the RDM knows the basics of soloing, should be simple.

1/4 on my droprate, duo/trio every time
THF+RDM duo was very easy
THF+PLD/WHM duo was pretty easy (pld used vcloak+parade for refresh and just cast some cures if i took damage)
THF+RDM+DRK trio was kinda messy cause the DRK kept engaging and wouldn't turn if it started spamming TP
THF+BRD duo was mind numbingly easy, like seriously way easy. i think i had march2+mambo2 the whole time, plus elegay on birdie
