I've recently heard rumors that SE will drop currency in the past next update. I would just llike to discuss and see other people opinions. What type of drop rate do you expect? What impact will this have on Relic upgradeds, prices and dynamis LS's over all.

Dynamis Currency In the past?

I've been wondering this myself, but your question has no answer other than simple ideas or more likely, hopes of people browsing this thread.
Even attempting to asses what it will do to dynamis is really impossible, as any drop rate speculation is just that, speculation.
With no facts, there can be no answers lol
If you wanna throw numbers around hell lets have fun with it! I think it's gonna RAIN currency, after each campaign you'll get a coin of your choice for every 50 campaign xp earned! wooo!!
It will make dynamis obsolete for anything but armor, no one will ever want to sponsor again and as sponsors die off so does dynamis. In 2013 the only red mage hats will be like an old vintage car.. boy i wish i could have one!

I really doubt this will change anything. After all SE said in a previous update they'd make new methoods to obtain Imp. Wootz Ingots, sure enough they dropped from ANNMs, however it didn't change the price at all.

This is true kinda. I mean yeah dynamis will be obsolete if it rains Currency in Campaign. But you still need the relic weapon to upgrade. and i dont think there gonna make those drop in campaign.

It is going to have as much impact as when they dropped the cost of a dynamis glass from 1,000,000G to 500,000G...very little. Only repercussions seen from that particular update was that numerous new unorganized attempts at dynamis linkshells springing up everywhere. And that also didn't even last.
Doubt same thing will happen to the areas of Campaign; however, hopefully it will provide an actual alternative for other relic seekers that don't have means of sponsoring an LS full-time, or even the time to keep up their ingame financial endeavors to fund said relic(s). So as far as numbers or ideas goes, I'm not going to speculate. I'll just wait for those update info pages on POL's site.

It could also make the price go up.
You will see a lot more be interested in trying to complete there own relic.

Drop rate: I wouldn't expect to see Hundred pieces dropping from campaign battles. Hopefully the distribution system is fair....
Impact on Relic upgrades: A lot more people are probably going to start.
Impact on Price: This is similar to ANNM battles and Imp. Wootz Ingots. When they first came out, the price dropped by a sliver of a fraction, and then returned to normal. It really didn't have any long term effect. The only way a price can change is if sellers undercut eachother, and when there's a popular demand for an item, it takes a huge influx of them to have a noticeable effect on the price. If an item sells like hot cakes, it will take a large amount of the item to flood the market to a point where sellers are willing to undercut each other with lasting effects.

Prices will go up imo with more ways to get currency there are more people willing to put the effort into getting a relic weapon.

This is my opinion too, but at the same time I think is extreamly stupid. I've been working on my relic for YEARS. Back on my server bronze pieces were selling for 7-8k and now there selling for 15-16k. I'm trying to not give in and slowly still working twords my goal. But if people really think it's gonna be easier to get a relic, they will be suprissed.
I made this post just to see peoples opinions and see disscussions, I know we can't tell till SE gives us more info but that doesn't mean we can't discuss it. ^^

There may be more relics in the future, but the ease of acquiring one will not change.

I think you might be surprised to find out how many people save for relics even though it's completely unrealistic for them. I know a handful of people who don't focus on making gil at all who are saving for relic weapons. They make less than 1,000,000 gil every month, but insist on using that gil to buy more currency pieces.
Relics would be a lot cheaper if only the people who had a decent shot at getting one bought the currency.

Well, as it stands, not a single vendor in all of Jeuno is selling any dynamis currency at the moment. It sounds to me like the new drop locations have given everyone the idea that they now have the ability to upgrade.
I wonder how long it will take for them to realize that 1-2 coins a day, if they are lucky, isn't enough to upgrade before 2012.... At least we'll see an influx in sales when it finally gets through peoples' heads.

God I hope so, I am 35/70 till Aegis and I feel like I can't finish at the current times. Tho in my server it might be sooner then later, I scaned R.mart lastnight as saw up to 10 silvers for sell. Hope no one buys them so we can drop from 15-16k too 7-8k again haha. I don't want my shield to cost me x2 what I orrigionaly planned. I am trying to refuse to spend more ten 10-11k on a coin at the moment.
