Please for the love of god don't have a crap storyline like ACP was.

EDIT: Oh... my... F*ckign GOD. That Selenian Cap looks EXACTLY like the headgear the Magus/Warlock job could wear in FF3.

Head CORs use looks ugly as crap though sadly.

It looks funny. There's a pimp mog. Not sure how to take that.

OMFG I laughed so hard xD

Augments look meh... trying to find a decent combo for any job but can't find something that screams "awesome". I could put the Accuracy +10/Attack +5 Augment with one of the atribute bonuses that gives haste for a decent TP gaining piece.

It can't destroy the wonderful ending to Aldos story that CoP made, so it has hope.

I certainly wont be buying it until I hear it's worth while.

EDIT: Oh, nevermind. Totally buying this.

Shame that hat looks a tad silly.

I think I'm going to turn this into a slugshot piece for my Corsair. Can't see any good combos for my PLD, BLU, or WAR.

+4 STR/Weaponskill Accuracy +15 and +4 AGI/Increases Weaponskill DMG by 2% is one hell of a sexy combo IMO.

since i dont own heca cap or orc hat, going for the str +4/WS acc15 + dex +4 crit dmg 2% seems like a good idea for a drakesbane WS piece.like cor said nothing really stands out for blu or pld.maybe the chr4/waltz delay for dnc but idk.

I suppose this could spare me from trying to get that Quadav barbut for my Ranger, but I'm going to have to debate how much I want to participate in this nonsense again. I still have a bad taste in my mouth from ACP.

i'm with path on this one.. well about the waiting and seeing about how this mini plays out, not the worrying about geting the ranger head out of the past.

ya know i normally do not bag on gear for being ugly or stupid looking... but i can not help but not take any one of these helms seriously. at least they could have made them to really match the acp bodys. that's some cartoony looking crap right there.

on second thought the salade kind of looks like it would go with the mirk.

The Salade would go with the Wardecors, but that's like saying that manure goes with dung. It's not as though SE doesn't know how to design attractive gear, but apparently they decided to go super-ugly with any gear that has PUP in its job list. Did you read the flavor text for the Salade? They're trying so hard to justify one of the things that people in this game loathe almost universally: chin straps. Does anyone like these things on various helmets and such? Yes, it's realistic, but it's realistically ugly and I was glad that Iron Ram helm didn't use it.

this looks more like a comical storyline than the serious and slightly boring ACP one,and that alone would be worth getting it for imo.the lenth of the missions are secondary for me if the story is well written.

edit: could someone post pics of what the 3 headgears look like? having issues with the offical site atm.

I did get a good laugh at the chin strap thing.

Left hat is Onion's helm...

Right hat is FFX-2's wizard hat...

But what is this middle one? Doesn't familiar to me.

The middle one is garbage. Like I said, SE refuses to design attractive things for items that can be equipped by Puppetmasters. Usukane is the obvious exception, but just look at Enkidu's set, Pantin gear (it's called "Clown attire," albeit in French), and now Mirke Wardecors and Anwig Salade.

Mirke Body wasn't TOO bad, looks better than that ungodly awful PLD/WAR/DRK/SAM/DRG body. The cape is nice but that shield became an eyesore fast.

Still kind of laugh at how PUP was on it considering it's supposed to be an assassin piece. Going to sound like a weeabo but reminds me of that puppet dude from Naruto.

You need to see Mirke Wardecors on an Elvaan male. The shield on Nuevo Coselete is just weird, but having a skirt (seriously, it looks like I'm wearing the F version of Scholar's Gown) is really too much. That and the forced bare arms are just stupid when I've got massive kote being hidden underneath. It'd be one thing if I was hiding War Gloves, but these are significant forearm protectors being erased so I can run around getting a farmer's tan.

I know all too well the skirt. I have it to.

Anyway, hopefully they don't make this fight as gay as ACP's, I loved their logic reguarding the final fight:

QUOTE
The final battlefield in A Crystalline Prophecy had an especially large amount of work put into it. The idea was to make a battle where more importantly than Jobs or Equipment, it is the players' judgement and decision-making skills that determine the difference between victory and defeat. This was the reasoning behind the enemy's extensive use of Charm. As Ogawa puts it, "No matter what job you are, if you fail to avoid Charm, you are Charmed, no excuses." After that, it's about being able to adapt and do what is necessary to win. The battle team spent long hours perfecting a final battle they could be proud of, and Ogawa is confident in the results.

I sometimes wonder if SE ever tested the fight out themselves... since I still say melee got ripped off in terms of usefulness for that fight unless you attempt an all out zerg. And since they say they're proud of the fight... only proves they're sadistic IMO tongue.gif

I don't actually have a problem with the Galea. What I do wish is that you had the option of closing the flap, so it would cover the entire head, but obviously that's out of the question. It does look over the top, but somehow it doesn't bother me. The Selenian cap is so ridiculous looking I can't help but like it. I makes the Halloween witch hat look perfectly normal, it's so overdone. I'd probably go with that based on looks, though the base stat is meh. Yeah, chin straps suck. The concept behind it is kind of neat, but it still looks ugly. Lamest of the 3. At least thanks to the augments they have the potential to be equally badass in their own rights.

I will *consider* getting this expansion... but I'm not preordering it, and I probably won't get it until the exp has been out for at least half a month, considering the usual release-date nonsense that occurs with every full-fledged and mini expansion. (Lol quest monsters not spawning in ACP)
