Wonder if that crit bonus works with SATA like X's Knife does? Maybe coupled with the STR and WS Accuracy, would it be worth it over Hecatomb Cap? Otherwise could do STR and WS accuracy with the AGI and WS dmg for TA-WS builds.

Its a tough call... I have heca cap for WS, but would love the str4/dex4/wsacc/crit+, at least for DNC. Then again, it could be a nice TP'er as well, with haste3/acc10/att5. Once I figure out what job can use it the most, I'll have a decision.

the Str +4 wacc +15 combined with +4 dex and +2% crit rate seems like a very good ws piece for evis.

I'm considering a +4STR, +15 WS ACC, 10 ACC, 5 attack helmet for DE/Evis.

I'd lose a whopping 4DEX due to no n.head, and hooooooooooly shit +25 ACC on WS.

I think this thing has some nice versatility on WS stats, but even then, Turban offers a plain 5% haste for offensive purposes, and with this you can make that 5% Haste with 2 DEX (1ACC) and 3 Subtle Blow. Not to mention the snapshot can be nice for pulling and bolt spam on Mobs with low evasion. I think they've done an even better job of offering augments this time than they did with the ACP bodies, albeit kinda broken. I'm away from the game now, but if I were to ever return, I think I would personally go 3% Haste and Snapshot and 10 ACC and 5 ATK. As long as I am not doing any math wrong here, that would make my old tp build swing 2% slower but parse 92% ACC on birds with no sushi or pizza, which is retarded. Srsly though, being an Evisceration enthusiast... Wow... Possible 4STR, 4 DEX, 15 WS ACC, and 2% Crit DMG Bonus. Or, depending on how much you Sata... 4 DEX, 4 AGI, 2% Crit Bonus and 2% WS Bonus. The piece has potential, to say the least.

thf options look pretty meh again.

i'll prob just end up with a 5% haste dex+ 2 hat (at least i'll be able to take off turban).

6 dex and 2% increased crit seems like it could be pretty decent for evis but i'm attempting to get maats however slowly...

2% isnt going to do shit for dmg tbh, lets say you do a 1500 DE unstacked, without the +2% dmg. with the +2% dmg its 1500*1.02 resulting in 1530 dmg. doesnt seem all that awesome to me if you ask.
Edit: plus its ugly as fucking hell. and zytar, its +2% crit dmg, not crit rate :<

who knows, if its a one hit ws(like mercy stroke, or madelic stab as /war) and you do a 1500 mandelic stab(using 1500 cuz its a fun # i guess) then it would be 1500*1.04=1560. not factoring in the DEX etc
Edit this is also assuming my math doesnt suck complete balls.

Don't forget would also affect DE a bit to; for a 1500 DE, 800 of that is probably the crit from the first hit with SA or TA, meaning 16 more damage from 2%crit damage (this might not be much but it adds up XD). With the 2% ws damage this gives u a 1546 DE.

and if u use evisceration, since other hits can crit, could get up to a 1560 (if each hit crit)

+2% crit damage is pretty meager, wasn't x's like 10-12%? It's 2% crit damage, not crit rate, so meh you'ld get more use of 4 dex than that crit bonus, plus ws acc/str might even beat it since an fstr would do the same damage increase, but on all hits.

For tp, 3% haste 10 accuracy and 5 attack looks like a winner, but I plan to go ws acc and strength instead of haste for other multihit weaponskills.

I'm going to have to agree here. So far 3% haste and 10acc 5 atk looks to be the best option. I worship haste as much as anyone else but again, let's look at what we're comparing:

10 acc and 5 attack VS 2% haste and 2str. 5 attack is pretty much better than 2str for melee, or at least equal, so
10 acc vs 2% haste.

90->95% acc = 5.56..% boost in dps
58->60% haste (this includes speed belt, dusk gloves +1, rapp harness, and double march etc) = 5% boost in dps.

It's actually fairly uncommon for thf to get that high of haste. And you can only have more haste than that if you have 2hr songs and/or haste samba.

On the contrary i think 90% acc and below is fairly common. And as you get lower and lower in terms of accuracy, the boost increases.


I disagree w/ synth and don't think the thf options look bad at all. There's stuff for EV and DE in here. And we and other dual-wielders can benefit more from the tp head I just mentioned than 2-handers can.

You're quite right. Most thieves would rather use Homam Corazza and few have a speed/velocious belt. I think i'd still carry my turban and rap harness for Utsusemi anyway though so swapping that our isn't going to be a problem. Me rikey.
