I saw a screenshot of text from a guild NPC a while ago which seemed (to me) to hint that having a craft above 60 or so would make it more difficult to get skill ups while skilling up sub crafts (below 60). I went back through the forum but couldn't find the screenshot. :s If anyone saw this screenshot, or has any personal experience with this, let me know!

I recently did a bit of skilling up for my leathercraft sub, and it seemed like it took a lot longer than it should have, but I can't really be sure because it's been over two years since I've skilled up a craft below 60.

The speech you're referring too is the guild master when he/she hints that it is difficult to level other crafts post 60, not pre. Basically he/she says you can have only 40 skill levels post 60 across all crafts.
