I did 2 merit pts on NIN and have to say I felt so inadequate. as path said only purpose for a nin is for voking off brd. otherwise we do shit damage on those damned birds

It's true, ninja's main job in a merit party is to provoke the mobs off the bard, I myself dislike meriting on my ninja, mainly due to the fact that it does NOWHERE near as much damage as my monk, samurai or dragoon could do in it's place!(my samurai and ninja have decent gear! missing stuff for sure, but i've seen/met far worse!) I only ever pull it out in merit party's if i got a bard who refuses to come without a provoke(usually due to no war's LFG, or party leader was too silly to get one.) Mostly just use it for tanking endgame when ls needs me to, and party with friends when they need a tank!

WAR/SAM and SAM/WAR can 'voke, DRK/SAM can stun, etc. Demanding a ninja or warrior is pretty stupid.

yes, i agree with you, but most of the bards i meet complain without a nin or war in the party, and most don't listen when i say that we don't really need a voke, as i find on monk within the first round or 2 of punches hates off the bard, and 1st or 2nd swing of sam. Only reason i bring out my nin is if i go a whiny bard.
