So like, do I leave AF pants on during Sharpshot, or is it okay to just macro them in to use the ability, then back out for something with ranged accuracy on it when shooting/WSing?

I'm a RNG noob, and I can't decide how to make my Sharpshot macro now that AF pants come into play. sad.gif

I only know of one piece of armor that needs to stay on to continue reaping its JA enhancement benefit and this isn't it. I macro it out.

Though I'm not 100% on this, I'm pretty sure you can tell the difference by how its phrased. Armor that 'arguments' the affect needs to stay on (PLD af2 body, SAM af2 legs, etc) but armor that 'enhances' the affect can just be macroed in for the initial use (PLD af2 boots, etc).

RNG AF+1 hands ("Enhances Barrage effect") cannot just be macroed in for the initial use. You must have them on when you fire the shot.

COR Relic+1 hat ("Augments Phantom Roll") does not need to stay on; in fact, you don't even need it on for Double-Ups.

This is how I set up Sharpshot macro:

/equip Legs "Hunter's Braccae"
/ja "Sharpshot" <me>
/wait 1
/equip Legs "Jaridah Salvars"

That's in one macro button. I don't use SpellCast for macros, because I haven't gotten used to them.

After that, it's all the matter of hitting Barrage macro for better accuracy, or use it alongside Velocity Shot + Unlimited Shot and my weaponskill macro. (If you read the sticky, Barrage overwrites Unlimited Shot, so be careful when you set up macros.)
