Going on the other synths that contain an Onyx, I'd presume it was between 25 - 40.

Onyx Earring - Goldsmithing (25)
Onyx Earring - Goldsmithing (30)
Onyx Ring - Goldsmithing (40)
Onyx Ring - Goldsmithing (35)

Ive tried once and broke once @ 51 Goldsmithing and no skill up (didnt try again as was 180k per dye at that point). I know dont prove anything but thought I'd add into the discussion.

I have crafted several of the Hobby Bo's and my goldsmithing is a dot past level 18. No breaks, no issues, no Goldsmithing skill ups.

I'd guess that the level is 20 or less.

I just went through some heavy trial and error on these, I'd estimate the gold sub is no more than 30, no less than 20.
