if you read clearly you'll see that i never really tried to make ridill better than GA, but the point is that even if GA is superior these days it seems that people started to underestimate ridills. you see that by ppl. saying "war/nin with GA > man/ridill" which is just not true. even my war, which is not decked out to 100% (missing aurum feet for example) outparsed anyone /nin with GA so far and it's not cause it was only retarded or gimped ppl., i know some of them pretty well and they had pretty much the same gear i had.
that's all i am trying to say and even with a war/sam it can get close if he isn't hasso'ing full time.

on anything higher than a merit or dyna mob i agree nobody should dual-wield anymore. in merit it is absolutly ok as long it is not axe/axe or something retarded.

Within the week of the Salvage bans, that would have been my gear. I was waiting for a Black Tathlum to sell so I could buy a Cursed Hauberk -1. I also never uncursed Heca cap (was waiting on -1) and hadn't upgraded Ares legs because I wanted to upgrade the whole set in a week for lulz (tripled body, the rest legit and Ares legs pre-SSR patch), though I probably would have done it soon.

By now, I'd have probably gotten 2 more items off my wish list (Cursed cap -1, Dusk Gloves +1, Speed/Velocious belt, full Ares upgrade) depending on my luck.

My total list of stuff left to buy was:
Cursed cap -1, Dusk Gloves +1, Speed/Velocious belt, full Ares upgrade, Scorpion Gauntlets +1, Scorpion Breastplate +1, Star ring, and Black Ribbon (found/bought this when I came back to the game). After that, it would have just been a matter of blue-boxing my Fire resist build accessories and then building up for a relic.

So yeah, I wiiiiiiiiin until someone with a relic posts.

Meh, he had a sick war from those pics. His war more than likely would have crushed any DW user i know, flat out because his WS dmg/dot/dmg from retaliation would have just obliterated man/rid. Ridill didnt change, it just got knocked way down in comparison to 2handers

Edit: making fun of dupers is so January anyways. Dont be mad that they did something we didnt know about(i know for a fact i would have duped because my salvage leader would have done it. guilt by association)

Sorry, I didn't mean to offend people when I said I was banned. I just don't like to pretend I have access to that gear now.

I tried to come back on a friend's mule account with 75 WAR (RDM/BLM/BRD/RNG) and pretty good gear, but you can see from what I had that anything would be a downgrade. It was too much of a difference and most of the friends I had pre-ban were either banned with me, gone, or not playing. The group I was with pre-ban was really what made it fun. It's hard to even understand what makes people go for a relic, let alone consider one yourself, when the best melee you know wears an NQ Haub. Need a strong group of players/friends or it's easy to feel you've capped out and the game becomes unfun. I could see myself feeling I'd capped out on the account in ~2 more months of playtime and it was depressing. My final shoppinglist on Byrth is a testament to how good the players around me were, and how not-bored I was with the game. I played the second account just doing the fun stuff/helping the LS in game from May to June, then went to Europe for a month and now I'm burning a week before I move on to grad school.

Now I mostly like FFXI as a source of math puzzles.

I would win against other melee in parses also, parsers just make you play harder than you usually do because of the fear of losing. Imo, they're only useful for finding out your accuracy on the mob/mobs, all that other shit is retarded.
