ok since its obvious you dont want to even read/learn what HQ teirs are ill hold your hand and walk you threw it. Prism Capes are a lvl 94 synth, making it a Teir 1 synth. What this means is, you can get over 10 levels of the synthisis in questions cap (99+3+3 = 105). It has been stated before in these forums that Teir 1 synths are roughly 10% hq rate or an AVERAGE of 1/16 synthsis per HQ.

Now, the reason this thread and your comments are pissing everyone off is because this is basic crafting knowlage. Its not some secret that is hidden from the average player, hell if you had taken 5 min to even read threw the stickys you could have answered your own questions. As Xurion has stated before, its impossible to get to 99+3 with out knowing this basic information unless 1) the account was bought/given 2) You bought enough gil to power level your craft to 99+3 and dident care until now. Please do us all a favor and read the stickys like everyone else has. They are filled with solid information that has either been proven, or is the general accepted answers threw out the crafting community.

You should have just told him yes and let him spam while he was sitting on Tier 0.

So he would continue to spread rumors to newer crafters? Id rather answer his question then have him discourage others from doing something in game. And maybe next time instead of asking, he might do the impossible and actually do the research himself (took me a total of 2 min to figure out its a T1 synth, and only 2 min cause my modem was acting up and wasent loading the page *wrist* my ISP dry.gif )

lol am I the only one that can see a logic fail here?

I am more under the belief that it is about 1/12 rather than 1/16, but that's only my personal experience. 1/12 = 8.333%.

well tier 1 can be stretched to 10% but i've had days with it where i blow over 10% of my averages, like sitting down and doing 6 morion earrings and 3 pop HQ it temporarily makes my 10% jump... then i have days of 0/50 T1 so its all fucked up either way.

The worst part of this is that the methods of "control" over your results that some idiots will try to push as facts flat out are bullshit, moon, day, direction, any of that shit is all irrelevant it boils down to luck, the same thing that happens when you type in /random. Either way T1 it sits somewhere between 0 and 15% through any given batch no matter what methods you think you can use to control the results of a random generator through.

As a general rule of thumb though T1 is just fucked up like that and there is no way i want to parse all the shit i craft soo I say fuck it, call it 8 or 10% or 1/10 1/12 1/16 whatever suits you, T1 sucks donkey dick but its the easiest money really and even though the crapshot of 8-10% sucks balls it's still the most lucrative tier for me lol

Me personally, i dont craft Teir 1 with HQ in mind, i treat it like Teir 0 lol (since my luck is so shitty with HQ's). If it happens it happens and it makes me that much happier lol. Hell right now im sitting on 0/24 for cursed haidate -1, which is well above my previously stated 1/16 for a T1 lol.
