i finally got POL/FFXI working on windows 7
i finally got the windowerV3.42 beta working on windows 7, along with all the plugins i could ever need
i finally got languages and everything changed around and can type in jpn on AIM and in notepad...
...but i can't switch language to jpn in FFXI via IME plugin for windows. the plugin loads, enables MMF through my keyboard (w/e that means), but that's it. no language switch, nothing.
i looked at the "typing in japanese on NA FFXI" sticky, and it said i needed the .NET framework. i'd had problems with this program when trying to get KParser to work (still haven't figured THAT out yet), but it hit me to google "Windows 7 + .NET framework." viola. so as of this writing, i'm in the middle of a 1.3GB download of .NET framework 3.5.2 beta, and seeing as this may be the problem, please refrain from telling me to update .NET framework
the problems with KParser i have no idea about. i can get the SSCERuntime-ENU-x86.msi to run setup, like the readme says to do, but the SSCERuntime-ENU-x64.msi won't run setup, and it errors, saying "This installation package is not supported by this processor type. Contact your product vendow."
thanks much for any help i can get, on either of these subjects
EDIT: yes i did a search for this. anything with "windows 7" in search yields some BS about one or more words being less than 3 characters long, and "IME" yields absolutely nothing
