Effort being, that I don't campaign much, so its a lot of hours farming up xp and an for rank ups. I still think I'm gonna pass on this piece, b/c even though, that 1 more enmity might help pull hate a bit more with JA, it isnt gonna make or break any of my sets.

The main benefit, and only reason that I'm getting one, is for the MDB. The one extra Enmity for you is just icing on the cake.

For me it's also because I don't need to pull my valor out of storage for one piece of gear

Technically you should be using more than one piece of valor. Hands for bash, feet for sentinel, and head for rampart. The feet are especially sexy in dynamis. Mini invincible for every MNK yes, please.

If one does Campaign Ops while doing Campaign, it doesn't take very long to accumulate the points needed for the Iron Ram Hauberk. On the other hand, it will take quite some time if you're straight up ranking from the intial medal(s).

HOLY SHIT IT'S OLD GREGG. THE SCALY MAN FISH. Anyways, Isnt koenig head better for rampart than afv2?

I have 2 rampart macros, one with all the VIT I got for soaking up as much Magic Damage as I can, and one that's offensive with as much Enmity as I can get.

Yeah guess you got a point. I mostly use my PLD for solo/lowmanning though so it's kind of low priorty for me.
And even with the <stpt> macro I still don't like blinking since I don't trust other tanks/healers at all to have common sense.

I made my tanks and healers adapt to current macro systems and playstyles, or got rid of em
