Or you can use homam body, get more accuracy, get similar tp gain and do more damage while gaining that tp.

I can see grabbing this only if:

1) You don't have a corazza or the ACP body augmented for dual-wielding TP.

2) You're desperate to add another acc ring in lieu of a rajas.

Otherwise, meh.

even with dual acc rings, you can get 5tp/hit so long as you're using skadi legs, brutal and not blau/sirocco.

x's/blau gives me 5tp/swing with legs and earring onry

Think about the advice you're giving there, Synthetik. You're suggesting that one of the more beastly difficult Salvage items to obtain (I've read numerous horror stories regarding it and have witnessed the same in my group) would allow an X-hit build over this item. Cobra Harness seems clearly designed for people who are either a.) level 68 and struggling for Accuracy such that Raparee Harness isn't viable or b.) newly 75 and lacking a ton of various gear. I can't see anyone with a remotely respectable 75 Thief actually wanting this for anything other than looks. Actually, I'm having trouble finding a purpose for it, period, except Puppetmasters who don't do Dynamis.

So he did; my apologies. And, as you well know, you were ungodly lucky in that respect. I don't think we've even seen the 25 pants drop for our Thief, which makes me cringe 'cause I'd like 'em.

i honestly think they're one of the most common salvage items for my ls.

my group specifically has only gotten my skadi (although stupid lucky on some usu pants). i'm really hoping more skadi legs drop soon for us. the thf who'd get em is a great friend of mine and is already an extremely good thf, he's just missing some gear.

You're lucky Synth lol. I just got the 35 a couple of days ago but we've been doing 1-2 ZR runs a week for 3 months now before they dropped. So that might be 1/18. Probably not even that high though I did lose track. Still 18 ZR's can take quite awhile especially since many Salvage groups I've been in refuse to set foot in there (what do you mean this zone doesn't drop macha's coat, ares body, or usu feet!?). This salvage group that I currently have focuses on individual members one at a time and I love them for that.

Seriously though I've never been a hardcore salvage junkie but I hadn't seen a Skadi 35 drop from salvage in 2 years, and I'd only ever seen a single skadi 35 drop before. I don't even like to count that one. Meanwhile in those two years I've seen somewhere between one and two dozen usukane 35, 1-2 dozen ares, about a dozen macha's, and about half a dozen marduk. In my salvage experiences the drop rates are inversly proportional to how popular the gear is.

I wish storetp was more useful for us in the way that it can be gamebreaking for 2handers. It's been awhile since the 2hander buff and I think it's become apparent now that storeTP and hasso has turned 2handers into beasts. I remember back before then they used to be suuuuch lol DD's. Drk in particular was just awful. Seriously what they need to do now is give hasso to single-handers. Or maybe nerf it slightly before doing so.

I've probably been on 30+ Zhayolm runs and I've not seen Skadi Legs drop once, to my dismay.

And that body looks pretty nice. Considering the ease with how AN armor is to obtain, I'd say that's a really good piece- I always considered AN armor to be for more casual players, with iron ram being incredibly overpowered in that regard, and the fourth division being incredibly crappy. But for a casual player, the Windurst sets are pretty decent, IMO. Not everyone has time to do salvage and such.

I think it's well designed. It's from Campaign so it can't be anything TOO good (cue IR set) but it sits nicely inbetween the top end items like Homam/Mirke/Enkidu and SH+1/Pahluwan etc.

I think it is a nice piece but it seems more geared toward MNK maybe than THF since the set focuses on Counter or am I looking at it wrong?

You're not looking at it wrong, but the counter isn't an indication as to why MNK would use it. To our knowledge, the set increases your over-all counter rate rather pathetically for how many slots it takes up. This item isn't any more useful to MNK than it is for any other job that is in need of an ACC source, but hasn't gotten much in terms of his jobs gear. I wouldn't wear this over any MNK bodies I have.

It's probably better than a NQ SH for gimp MNKs.

Any job that is presently using Scorpion Harness and can equip Cobra Harness is better with the latter. That hardly means that it stands on its own feet compared to Enkidu's Harness, Homam Corazza, or Raparee Harness, as situation, availability, and Accuracy dictate.
