Looks like SE may have given us a new KRT, T bones in Beau [S] and VT's in Xarc [S].
Need to find out if any spot is viable for a camp/roaming XD

Nostalgia and a desire to eat food at merits make me want this to work, but I'm betting that nothing short of deleting Colibri from the files will get people to budge. Mamool Ja and Trolls practically require me to pay parties just so I can stop looking at pink "hummingbirds."

as much as i love my thf and to lesser extent drg. i would absolutely love to go to a merit pt not at birds as drk/sam or mnk/war and actually play those jobs outside of ls events and salvage.

Undead are just horrible mobs to play support on, so unless you have some really nice friends it'll be hard to sucker somebody into trying to keep a party out there alive.

It's not hard at all to play support on them, but Colibri have made mages lazy. Trust me, I'm a product of that and it's only that I've been playing for half a decade that prevents my White Mage from being totally useless.

In a typical merit party with only one healer, anyone other then a SCH will have difficulty hitting everyone with blindna and keeping hp up while the mobs are spamming AoE drain and AoE damage+blind.

Maybe you can do it, but I'm just not seeing my rdm being able to keep buffs up, debuffs off, and everyone alive without sanction refresh, even with af2 hat.

Also, regarding Refresh, you know that you can get that with Sigil, right?

Um, did someone forget about sigil refresh? But seriously what Pathwriter said is right, WHM is designed for this stuff now. Would also be nice to have both regen and increased food duration. Every little bit helps.

Your typical merit party from TOAU won't work on KRT style pt's while the otherway around does work. Didn't have to sucker people into KRT parties back in the days (before WHM's huge ass buff), doubt I'd have to now with the joy of exp bonus ala TOAU. Not that it matters much, unless the PW lamp things take bonus dmg from blunt (didn't check yet), the bones are pretty rare. Found 5 close to each other and quite a walk away from those in east and west 2 bones at each spot, a wooping 9 total it looks like, plenty of lamp thingies though. Need to check ramp near Castle Zvahl still, but not holding my breathe lol

That's true, I was thinking more about trying to heal on old school undead and less about exping in the past areas.

But it looks like Appie doesn't see enough out there to exp off of.

Well, lamp thingies are BLM and it seems they got blunt bonus, WS and melee hit about the same on VT bones (picked a WAR bone) as they do on VT lamps, no idea if you can really conclude anything from that though.

This compared to KRT, this would be higher exp values because of Sigil's Increased EXP bonus too.

I looked at this today and I think it's possible biggrin.gif

3x MNK/WAR, RDM/WHM, WHM/SCH, BRD/WHM like KRT? Or BRD/WHM x2 WHM/SCH, MNK/WAR x3?

Sigil's sort've ridiculous in that aspect that Refresh would be a WHM's chapeau there.

A MNK party is not a typical party with one healer unless you're absolutely retarded. Ever done one? The best way to roll one imo is: whm/whatever rdm/whm brd/whm and 3x mnk/war. It's not exactly like torturing one mage here it's quite easy with /war monks and ample support
