I have a question for any veteran chocobo breeders out there:

I have a racing chocobo that retired at 8 8 4 1 ( First class, First class, Average, poor) Since it's retirement I've been trying to raise it's receptivity so I have completed several races and lunked down alot of chocobucks for the Chocotrain RCP items. (100 chocobuck item)
But I noticed that giving seven of these did not change my chocobo's receptivity stat from poor. Every time I train the chocobo I make sure to give the VCS card to the racing NPC to re-register her, which updates your stats via the 'chocobo confirmation' link. But the stat never seems to change.
Well today I fed my chocobo yet 'another' Chocotrain RCP item and was greeted with a message, "Altering this stat will adversely effect other stats." But that can't be, I -should- be able to bring my chocobo's receptivity stat up several levels before i run out of points.
Can anyone shed some light on this? Are you simply not able to raise a stat once you retire the bird? If so why does it keep taking the chocotrains? And even more importantly what are the chocotrains for? Have I been miss-informed on the toatal points allowed for your bird? Or is this some kind of glitch that I need to have a GM tell me he or she can't do anything about.

Did you trade the RCP item and the VCS card at the same time?

Are you raising another bird at the moment?

Ok so i am totally a newb at this whole chocobo raising thing, i do have a very good bird for my first try but...along what has been said. I don't know where i can buy some of those Chocotrain tokens or RCP or whatever the hell they are called. Can someone let me know where you get them? other then chocobucks. I have had to get a couple that way but i know you can buy them. Thnx
