Earlier today I seen a shout for a PM 6-4 airship fight, and I decided I was going to help him. We had a good set up, me being PLD/NIN, BRD/whm, 2x DRG, a WHM, and monk. He went to farm some Pumps with other members of the group while the two drg's and me waited at the gate. I guess he doesn't care about other people's feelings because as soon as we were going to enter he booted me from the group. He had invited another person without my knowledge and blacklisted me.

I asked the other members of the group thinking it was a joke at first, but I was wrong he said unprofessional things in chat. Even the person invited taking my place ranted back at me for no reason, won't say her name since this is Boniface's fault.

If you see him shouting for missions, please reconsider, he might do the same thing to you as he did to me. I am really mad at him for this, and will never help him again for the rest of my FFXI carrier.

First, you generally put the requirements up front. No pld/nin? No invite. If you had him wait around while you farmed pumps like some sort of backup plan, of course I can understand his frustration. That's a good hour or so just wasted waiting around. The other person involved, the pld, got all e-thug and butthurt about the situation it seems too. Which is stupid. Move on, fgt.

Second, Pld/Nin isn't needed, and is even questionable in terms of effectiveness. Lack of haste items, lack of ni, lack of a lot of things. Since it's a pickup party, I definitely wouldn't rely on the BRD to split up the songs so I would have march/ballad or the WHM to haste me or be quick enough with the erases when I got whacked with a slow/para - A lot of shitty players are out there, and the shittier ones haven't completed CoP (not saying you are, but c'mon, it's statistics). Foremost, this is a timed fight. For PLD/NIN, it's gonna take a bit of time to build up hate, unless you want to spam Cure's and fuck your mp pool. Zerging the shit out of it with PLD/WAR works wonders. I've completed this fight about 5/6 on PLD/WAR just fine and for the most part, it wasn't due to my abilities or effectiveness; It was due to the party dynamics and how well each person did their job.

I would most certainly trust the bard to split up songs, since that's what I did. My party trusts me to split up songs because they know I'm looking out for them. I had their best interest in mind when I put forth the motion to boot out someone who doesn't know what on Earth they're doing. Calling it a pickup group is a bit of a misnomer as only one person was actually 'picked up.' Aside from our Ninja, it was all linkshell members who I trust to do their jobs. Also, Yes, I wanted him to come Paladin/Ninja and he was fussing about it. We decided it would be the best option amongst ourselves, and he proved his knowledge of the game was lacking, so, since I don't like wasting my already limited play-time dealing with people who don't understand strategy, I replaced him with someone who could help me utilize a much more sound strategy.

Maybe if you had worked a bit harder and farmed up the CCB's with your party you might be finished PM6-4 right now. Or maybe if you seemed a bit more professional and didnt sub nin...
