Runs average out at 1 Ermine's tail per 6 runs whether it be in a CC box or from the treasure pool.

I hope this helps anyone who is after the ermines. the rune setups given here worked like a charm.

PT setup:
PLD/NIN
BLU/NIN (stun spam)
RDM/WHM
BRD/WHM
DD/NIN
DD/DRK

I find that having a THF/NIN for collaborator and a DRK or a /DRK really nice for additional stun should the blu not get to it in time. Its really easy to cap hate near the end of the fight. THF being able to tank it a lot of the way helps stop people like the BLU get their face eaten.

The dhalmel with this rune setup will use -ga III blm spells. Will use diaga 3. Will use silence (lol...) ancient magic as well as standard tier 4 spells. Can use Bindga and Blindga.

It will be slow at first and it will regen back to 100% a few times most likely than not. Dispel agility boost whenever its used. However - should Berzerk be on DO NOT DISPEL. The NM using dhalmel is the only way youll win the fight. Make sure to NEVER dispel berzerk.

I as a PLD used sushi and spammed atonement whenever I got 100% TP. NM will hit a PLD for around 50 when blocked. 250-500 DMG regular hits depending on if berzerk is up or not. Keep up shadows best you can. Reccomend Marchx2 and Haste for the PLD. Can be done with a NIN/DRK in place of a PLD.

What we did:
DD/NIN run into 20.0 or closer. NM will agro. If it uses something crappy like a single target spell then dont worry about it. PLD runs up and melees once. This gets him on the hate bar. Pop a sentinel and flash immediately. With enough haste gear and marchX2 and Haste you can flash 2 times in the duration of sentinel sticking hate very solidly on you. We brought a THF for additional hate control. Sticking WS on me with Trick and himself using Sneak. Mages cured as needed. as a Tarutaru I could cure myself a lot of the time should I get hit but since the thing hits so hard I was welcoming the additional curing that was given. THF would collaborator the BLU and the other DD near the end of the fight since hate was getting capped. Mages made sure to always have your back to the NM. Its silence gaze attack and defence down gaze attack only land on you should you be looking directly at it (hence it being a gaze attack).

good luck to anyone going for the ermine's tail!

loltanks. Did ours 4 times 2 days in a row with RDM BRD THF SAM SAM. Have the brd do march songs and RDM haste the sams. Between the 2 of them they should be able to share hate with WS spam, the THF is just there to look pretty.

Tanks are by no means required. But doing a guaranteed 700 dmg every single time you get 100% tp regardless of the monsters defence is pretty nice. It also allows the other jobs to concentrate on their own tasks and not have to focus on keeping up shadows.

Just depends how you play. Usually takes me team around 15 mins per dhalmel.
