So... just wanted everyone's opinion on this build i made with rose strap which I think is the only concievable way to make it useful outside of campaign. http://ffxigear.com/?ref=16893

20% Haste, makes a 4/5 hit build with minimal effort/sacrifices to accuracy or haste.
I'm too lazy to figure out the maffs involved atm, maybe someone else would like to figure out the TP gain of a 5/6 hit thalass to a 4/5 hit gae bolg? Just a thought that might be worth looking into. Pz

Lets assume that you have 1 march, haste, hasso, and 20% haste in gear for both. 56% haste~
551*.44=254~ delay (60 delay/s) 254/60=4.23 seconds, 5 hits to 100 TP or 21.15 seconds/100 TP
492*.44=217~ delay (60 delay/s) 217/60=3.62 seconds, 6 hits to 100 TP or 21.72seconds/100 TP

This all right? I guess this isn't so worth it after all, perhaps with more haste? Dunno, meh. the -2 dmg isn't worth .6 seconds~ not to mention not weapon skilling at 100 Tp each time and loss of 2% DA on grip and body (if you use askar over aurum). Just trying to think of a way to figure out how to make this thing semi useful.

The amount of store TP needed to make a 5 hit with Vfork just doesn't make the build worth it for the amount that you sacrifice :/

I've got a question on the subject of rose strap. I'm considering making an Acc+10/STP+4 Nuevo to get a 6-hit but now I'm wondering if Acc+10/Atk+10 Nuevo + Rose Strap would be better. I guess the question in it's simplest form is 2% DA vs 10 attack. Anyone better than me at math care to help me out here?

I don't have access to another STP body at the moment (but working on Askar, got floor 100). I've barely played the past 6-8 months though and no idea when/if I'll get serious again so Askar might take a while. The "Faux Haub" would be more versatile imo since it would serve me better whenever I don't need STP. For this reason alone I've almost made up my mind to go with the faux haub + rose strap option. More opinions would be very welcome though.

For ACP body, I personally think the best thing a DRG can do with that is Crit rate and DA. Accuracy? We dont need that shit. Attack? You barely notice a difference, and Askar still beats it in this department. Crit rate and DA make this a decent Drakesbane piece if you dont have something like Zahak's mail.

This. Technically speaking, a 200 damage hit every 50 swings seems better than the negligable bonus that 10 attack will do.

Critrate and DA doesn't do it for me. Since I'm lacking a lot of the better gear accuracy would help me more than 2% DA in most situations. 10acc/3% crit might be an interesting option though, I'll consider that.

If I stop being lazy and start playing regularly again I will eventually sort my gear out but by then I'll hopefully have better options than Nuevo (Askar, Aurum etc). In that case I'd probably remake it into something for my RNG.

goin with OP setup , you'd need +15 stp which isnt available any any gear option (50stp total/20.04tp/per hit)

white Tath, food, chiv chain, E ring, would put you at -5. add the stp cape would just leave you with a -4stp cock tease +50stp just cant be done outside campaign or sam roll.
