Hey. This be Oranul attacking your forums bitches! xD Nah, I'm kidding. On a serious note I did recently try out ballista on account of the infamous player shouting about it so much. Now, I am not a professional "Ballistager" as these players are but Feimetsu did prove one thing for sure; Fabulous is without a doubt are donkey ass holes gaining an advantage that others are not. I am going to write my small rant here and how I played to get a glimpse what happened. There's already enough imagination and info provided from the previous thread from Kaeda, so I'm going to provide mines but a formal way.

I normally go as war which is my <3 job and obtain a lot of petras than normally do. Wars do excellent dmg especially as the " hit n run" fellas as war/sam. But the thing is I get examined a lot by these Jp players. I warped back to get more ammos for sleep bolts, and then I get a tell of " www bird that way" comment from aniky. Aniky was from Ganballistar and I told him "excuse me Auction house Ammunition Range". So I got back and then I got rushed at regardless when I'm near by my teamates or not. My team (that are from Ganballistar also) didn't want to cure me as well, so I kindly asked "Excuse me, cure can I have it ? Thank you /bow" only with a clever response "Amature no thanks".

Instead, they were too busy curing and asisting Yuxiang and Brandonn keeping them alive (they were pt Leaders). But the interesting part was Brandonn wasn't pt leader at the time. Whenver he has a lot of petras, he tells the other JPs to invite him for instant Gate breach (Gb) so he can get fast scroing points than others. Greedy much? I gave up on scoring so I decided to kill people instead, but they made a tactic where I get killed all the time and flash spammed by a player named splash keeping Shadee alive. So I sent a tell to shadde and told him straight flat out he's a wet paper range coward and that it was proven these Ls groups are keeping each other in check and making sure none of their professionalism is ruined by outsiders.

As followed, here's some clever chat log that I came accross when the fight was going nowhere for me:

What can I do you ask? I stopped going. I'm not going to fall victum to something I will never obtain a title or enjoy a game fair because I cannot score and not get assistance like everyone else is getting. Similiar as to Kaeda and Batsu's report, Ganballistar and Fabulous are working together not just out of fun, but out to control the ballance system as well.

Not much you can really do about it... coming on here and posting about it will most likely get you flamed by everyone else sadly. If this is what ballista has devolved into on Siren then I guess there is no salvaging it.

It does kind of suck that two groups would be such asses in a side event that is supposed to be fun. Oh well to each their own.

Probably just because their group will most likely dislike me for assuming or thinking I'm taking Feimetsu's side. I'm just stating the facts of what was going on and what was responded from the abuse of "team work" when there was no cooperation carried out with me.

Aniky is an elitist, thats common knowledge to the siren ballista people. And since you are new to ballista, leaving the match for ammo....try coming prepared and not be such a maroon. And...the jp only cure peopel worth curing, you probably had paper def and went down fast, the game is about scoring, so killing someone who is bad, like YOU sir, means gb and more scoring.....

WAIT, should I go through the ballista basics for you? The team that scores the most wins....Yes the jp dont cure people they dont know and die so easy....you have to kind of prove your worth to the lot. And ranting the way batsu does...thats not going to help, did you start calling them all RMT?

This is kind of what is wrong with FFXI as a whole. I can't think of one reason why people should be such dicks at something like ballista. I mean I guess you could all be compensating for your real life but I don't really know you so that point is moot.

Why are they going to keep someone alive who has no def, isnt killing, and isnt scoring.....when the person next to them is scoring, getting the pt gb, and is an all around better asset to the team, how does that not make sense clearly you havent done good ballista before

I've played on Fenrir and Odin... well when Odin had a good amount of players. I know what its like trying to keep bad players alive because I'd rather that the other team not get a free GB from an easy kill. *shrug*

And I should've lotted that RDM AF+1 item that dropped from Temenos, since the next highest person lotted a double digit number, but I took pity and passed. Praise me! I'm Fabulous! I find this rather Amusing as the Oranul I know on Siren doesn't have a 70+ war. And I doubt a 60+ war as I always see him go to pvp as nin/dnc. Something to my understanding he tried out more then recently.

Just goes to show you the JPs got their game tight as hell. Nobody knows teamwork like they do. It's like when you join a sports team. Unless you have a favorable reputation, unless you're amazing, your teammates aren't gonna give a shit about you especially not the best ones on the team.

I assure you it has nothing to do with linkshell affiliation. I'm in Fabulous and I get about the same amount of support that you do. There is only so much a team can do to support you. I'll admit that I'm not the best Ballista player. When a player becomes more of a liability than a strength, it becomes somewhat impractical to divert much of your resources to supporting them if the ultimate goal is victory. It's nothing personal and if you can't get over that fact then Siren Ballista is probably going to frustrate you. Instead of whining, you really have to play and learn the style of play a particular server favors.

Coming to a forum and accusing people of unfair game play is quite serious when the game is all about community. Of course those players are going to defend themselves on the forums in response to you. Please talk to me in the game if you get the chance. I don't know if it'll make any difference if you've already made up your mind but I would favor resolving an issue rather than turning it into in game drama. I'm sure if you're not lolfeiwong, you would feel the same.

Stop whining and do what a winner does, show them you're worth something. If that plan goes downhill which it possibly can then just say "Forget it!" and just play to have fun.

Also on a side note the more you help the JPs the more they help you (usually) it's kind of a give and take thing.
